PSU-Rutgers scheduled for noon on BTN.

For comparison, MSU-Nebraska made it as a noon game on FOX!

Thus far, EVERY game that (1) is part of the B1G TV package and (2) involves Rutgers has been on BTN. All 10 of them.

And 9 of those 10 have been at 12:00 on BTN. (Michigan @ Rutgers was 3:30 on BTN)

Rutgers is obviously not valued by the TV networks. They literally show them only because they must.

And you got blown out by Michigan
And never win against ranked teams
We are horrible but you guys are not elure

Brain damage is a terrible thing....please give so we can help poor souls like this before it’s too late.

Anyone thinking of going? I'm considering going down Saturday morning with my gf. Most sites I've looked at have a starting price of $45. While that wouldn't be a huge deal, I feel like I shouldn't have to pay more than 15 dollars for a decent seat. I suppose I'll wait until I'm there and scalp a couple. Thoughts?

Thinking about it. Weather looks decent at this point.

I thought Rutgers was invited to the Big Ten because theyu would bring the New York TV market--guess that didn't work.

I lived in Jersey for 20 years and never heard a single person mention Rutgers football outside of the two friends I had that played for them. Honestly.

Actually it's probably the only thing that did work. People don't have to watch it. They just need the content providers who serve the NY market to include the Big Ten network into their sports packages which basically forces everyone to pay to watch Rutgers football even though no one cares.

So where did the largest parts of the rights fee increases that the Big Ten receives since the addition of Rutgers come from? Which of those were not in the "sports packages (sic)" of the " 'content providers' (sic) who serve the NY market" prior to Rutgers joining the conference?

I like the noon kick off for away games. There's no waiting all day for the game to start. The remainder of the afternoon is free to get things done or to watch more football if a person is so inclined.
Even better when on the west coast. Game ends and Saturday is just beginning

Ah, and the first of the Rutgers trolls arrive. I truly hope the intelligence level increases or this is going to be a boring week.

I’m here almost 30 years. No one talks about it.
Talked to a woman yesterday whose daughter goes there and she goes to every game (if that’s to be believed). The mom had no idea who they were playing.

How could a fan of a team with one win ever troll another team’s board?

I moved back to Jersey last year. Lots of ‘R’ magnets on cars, but no one ever talks about rutgres. Ever.

I grew up 20 minutes from Rutgers. Never heard anyone talk about their football team until they upset Louisville in 06. High point for the program. Heights they will likely never reach again.

I had tickets to the Penn State/Rutgers game in ‘93. Picked them up at will call after my friend, who played on that Rutgers team, left me his family passes for the game. The friend I went with and I laughed out loud and mocked Rutgers in a rain soaked mess of a beating. It wasn’t until the 4th quarter that it occurred to me that we were in the Rutgers family section. Not even one of those people said anything.
I actually apologized to the guy next to me and he just kind of shrugged his shoulders.

You're probably the reason their fans have been so terrible since 2011. Nice work. A$$hole.

As a father of a 2.5 year old, I love noon and 8 pm games, because she’s either going down for a nap at 12:30-1:00 or winding down for the night at the 8 pm kickoff: 3:30 is a nightmare because I have to be a decent parent and watch my daughter.

Well you can probably start with the 22 million Comcast subscribers in NJ coming out of the latest deal. Of course if you want to split hairs, NJ isn't NY but it's generally considered a large part of the overall NY market.

Pffft! She's two-and-a-half; are you going to coddle her forever??? C'mon, coastie.....!
