No doubt....the late hit was especially bad. Kept their first drive very much alive and stole a momentum play away from us.
This reminds me of the first half of the pitt game when the defense was knocked off the ball and the offense was a slow starter. We are somewhat fortunate to be down by only 14 so hopefully the breaks go our way in the second half.
Agree. McSorley and our receivers are playing well. Don't think JoMo gives them much help though. We don't throw enough intermediate stuff to take pressure off the run game and sustain drives to keep Wiscy's ball-control offense off the field. That means we also don't have much for a 4th down go-for-it call or goal line stuff. McSorley drops back and usually has to run from a blitzing linebacker. There has to be a way to exploit that, but haven't seen it. We're often successful on the deep stuff because we have taller receivers who are exceptional.

I agree, don't like it either. Just a small point though, in Trace's mind he isn't losing, just hasn't won yet.

Two of our best OL aren't playing, and 3 others are out due to injury. If Mahon, Nelson, or Palmer were playing we would be doing MUCH better.
Wisconsin cannot cover our receivers. Throw on every down till McSorley's arm falls off
There was no need to go for either of those fourth downs, we have a good outer, play field position.

Guys, Wisconsin hasn't stuffed the run. We have not run it much. Barkley and Robinson are a combined 10 rushes for 63 yards. Big plays have largely gone wisconsins way. Wisconsin has done nothing on d that makes me think we can't score 3-4 times in the second half. Defense has to get stops and Franklin needs to stop acting like Jack Del Rio.
Remember siblings the game would probably be 7 to 14 if the coaching staff had some patience and punting the ball. They will eventually learn the word and WE ARE will be better off in the future. At my age, I have learned a lot . Don't give up.

Football is often a game of mistakes. If we can hold Wisonsin to 10 or fewer ponts in the second half, we have a chance. It's not a big chance, but it s a chance.

Barkley has 56 yds on just 7 carries. Can't give up on the run. Just have to use the pass to set up the run.

why at the B1G Championship game do we have a student from Southern Cal, and a student from Mississippi, competing in the throw the footballs in the drum competition, for $100,000? They couldn't find 2 B1G students, or a student from PSU and a student from Wisky? Oh well, I never drink Dr. Pepper
Fun fact, BOTH kids who just participated in the Dr. Pepper halftime tuition challenge just got offered by Rutgers...
