So what? Not sure why you care one way or the other. We're all on board that they're not a very good team after that display against Wisconsin now, right?
Or do we still want to pretend otherwise?
Just want people to be honest in their assessment. So what? Not sure why you care one way or the other.
Actually Leonhard has completely turned them around. Wisconsin is the best team in the west right now. We're all on board that they're not a very good team after that display against Wisconsin now, right?

They're playing well under Leonhard because they want to retain him but let's not pretend Wisconsin's a very good team. They lost to a bad Michigan State team last week, right?Actually Leonhard has completely turned them around. Wisconsin is the best team in the west right now.
They are a good, not great team right now under Leonhard. Purdue is probably an 8-4 team but we knew that from the jump. They're playing well under Leonhard because they want to retain him but let's not pretend Wisconsin's a very good team. They lost to a bad Michigan State team last week, right?
Without a quality win unless they beat Illinois--assuming Illinois does well the rest of the yearThey are a good, not great team right now under Leonhard. Purdue is probably an 8-4 team but we knew that from the jump.

Do you ever read? Do you comprehend the word "could"?The funniest is that this douche ASWP troll thinks ASWP (who just lost to another ACC deadbeat to go to 4-3 and will be luck to finish .500) would beat all of them. ASWP would get their asses handed to them in the b1g West as mediocre as it is - they'd be fortunate to win 3 games in the b1g West and maybe not even that many).
What is the point of this? Are you looking for props for some sort of prediction you made?Just want people to be honest in their assessment.
We're right where we should be this year. We've beat ever team inferior to us. We've lost to the one team that's better than us. The Purdue game was closer than it should have been and Michigan wasn't as close as it should have been. Other than that we're doing fine.
Illinois will finish 8-4.Without a quality win unless they beat Illinois--assuming Illinois does well the rest of the year
No, people after the Purdue game tried to sell Purdue as this "great win" and that they would win the west and 10 games. Then after losing to Syracuse it was "bad luck"--now they lost to a Wisconsin team that was considered dead and people still won't own their mistakes. It's a simple concept. What is the point of this? Are you looking for props for some sort of prediction you made?
He knows a little bit more about the program than the average Michigan fan, but if you hold him to the fire he exposes himself...see his references to "1988" when he slipped up, not knowing that we were 5-6 in 1988, the worst season Joe ever had before the dark years. What is the point of this? There's no slip up--it wasn't about Penn State in 1988--it was a year of the 80s picked at random. The discussion at that point wasn't Penn State but what they incorrectly thought college football was.He knows a little bit more about the program than the average Michigan fan, but if you hold him to the fire he exposes himself...see his references to "1988" when he slipped up, not knowing that we were 5-6 in 1988, the worst season Joe ever had before the dark years.
Right--we're exactly where we should be. Beating Purdue nor Auburn was impressive or unexpected. Anyone that thought we would start 1-2 doesn't understand football and has lowered their expectations. From day 1 with this schedule 10-2 was the least result that was acceptable. Georgia beat Oregon by about 90 week 1. Ohio State played Notre Dame (no way of knowing they'd be a joke). Countless P5 matchups happen week one.A simple concept for who? There was bunch of "fans" on here before the 1st game saying we would start 1-2 with losses to Purdue and Auburn. I suspect these are the same "fans" who continually bash the team and just wait to pounce after a loss. Now we are going to pretend that opening the season on the road at Purdue at night is not a tough game? Who are you trying to defend? How many teams even played a power5 team in week 1? We are 6-1, exactly where most people would have predicted we would be in a good scenario.
"Closer than it should have been"--not mad about it just a reality.this is getting over the top
the purdue win was too close?
even teams that win national titles often have close calls
I'm well aware. Well maybe not worse than last year--they stayed within 3 scores of Notre Dame iircpsu was really bad in 1988
worse than last year
What is the point of this? Are you looking for props for some sort of prediction you made?
I'll go a step further. Purdue away at night in the 1st game was tough not because they'll finish 8-4 but because they returned more starters than any big 10 team and we have a ton of true and redshirt freshmen that we are relying on at key positions. Purdue was a harder match up in week 1 than today. Teams don't stay the same throughout the year.A simple concept for who? lol I'm not the one insecure here--you and CJF are--you don't know what to do when people don't cater to you. Returning starters mean nothing in this era--people like you just use that to try to make a game more meaningful than it was. We all know at 10-2 with losses to Ohio State and Michigan it's a "good" season without a quality win. That's reality not "diminishing" anything.I'll go a step further. Also that commando clown is not a PSU fan. All he does is bash and try to diminish PSU while slobbering over Ohio St. It's pretty pathetic that Ohio St has a few fans that pretend to be fans of other schools while posting. They must have the smallest penises in the nation in Ohio for them to be that insecure.

I have the same standard now as I've always hadDid you count joes wins vs bad teams?
Way worse. He doesn't know that because he's not a Penn State fan,he's a troll.psu was really bad in 1988
worse than last year
this is getting over the top

Is Minnesota still a very good team as you stated before psu beat them?I have the same standard now as I've always had

They haven't been good in a while since the injuries--I said that when Purdue beat themIs Minnesota still a very good team as you stated before psu beat them?
Your standard for "good" is very lowDear God.
Lando, Purdue is a good team, and our win against them on the road to open the season was a good win.
In fact, we're 6-1 playing the 17th most difficult schedule in the country...2nd toughest in the conference. That's not bad by any measure. If we magically knew back in August that this is where we'd be after seven games, most of us would have been happy as clams about it.
Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with criticism of the team...coach...program. Sometimes it's justified as was the case after the Michigan game.
But it's one thing to be a constructive critic...and another to be a nag. Your Purdue act, still going strong weeks after the fact, puts you in the latter category. And your denigration of every team we beat, which contradicts statistical reality, makes people wonder where you're really coming from.
Your standard for "good" is very low
Our SOS isn't 17th--our SOS will be because of Michigan and Ohio State
We're the 4th conference in terms of strength from top to bottom. FOURTH.
10-2 is a good season but it will be without a quality win if we don't beat Ohio State
We all know this schedule is weak this year despite a great attempt by scheduling Auburn
Because Penn State fans all have to worship Paterno and believe 8-10 win seasons are great? This belief that I'm a fan of any other program is delusionalYou're not a Penn State fan, pal, so stop the charade. Everyone with a brain here has figured that out by now.

Without Morgan they're awful--agreed?

The only other program I "am a fan of" is Northwestern because I also attended school there.
I never once said they were "very good"Right. They are the only team with injuries.
You said they were very good. Agreed?
Now you say they are awful. Agreed?
Who is "we," Kemosabe?
Your standard for "bad" is highly selective. Purdue is "good."
And yes, according to the site I consult, which I think is the best out there, our SOS is 17th. See link below.
