With the NCAA making this a free year of eligibility, the timing is perfect for Iowa with having Lee, Marinelli, and Kem due to graduate. It has had me wondering, what year in the past 10 would an extra year of eligibility have created the best team for PSU? What would the lineup have been? Without doing the research myself, I would expect this would have been the Dream Team of college wrestling. At the very least, there would have been some monumental wrestle offs! Happy New Year!

Suriano
Conaway/Gulibon - previous AAs
Zain - champ
Nolf - champ
Joseph- champ
Hall- champ
Nickal- champ
McIntosh- returning finalist
Nevills- AA
That lineup might be better(tournament) than 15 with Taylor/Ruth added.
*edit* I forgot this was Suriano's freshman year. Putting him in at 33.

The 2019 team giving Zain another year in addition to having Cassar at Hwt would have put 6 National Champs in the lineup with 3 3x champs. Zain, Nolf, Joseph, Hall, Nickal and Cassar.
Suriano wouldn't wrestle in that lineup. His Dad wouldn't want his star to be outshone.
