I think the odds are 83% he won’t have a chance to make that choice.Q: Is Caliendo’s best strategy to take top against MM? He’s gotten a few TD3s, thus far. The more time he can stay on top the better for him, no?
Per Penn State Wrestling Club, Carter is currently 90-4. Those four losses include the two Medical Forfeit losses he took at the B1G tournament last year. Not counting those two uncontested losses last year, if Carter runs the table this year he would join Zain as the last NCAA wrestler to go three straight years undefeated and would be looking at 98 (90+8 for the B1G and NCAA tournaments) career wins. If 100 wins matters to Carter and/or the coaches I would imagine he is going to wrestle at least a few more matches this regular season.Doubt it on Carter..not sure how far he is from 100 wins, but I know he wants to hit that if possible..saw in interview earlier in year, Carter tried to convince Cael to put him in open tourney. I don't see Kerk missing either..as long as they healthy, they want to take mat..
Considering a few extra seconds to try and get a pin caused an injury leading to those forfeits, I would be shocked on a level 10 if he wrestled extra minutes or matches to get a number that doesn’t matter at all. 5 NC’s is all that matters.Per Penn State Wrestling Club, Carter is currently 90-4. Watch his matches. He mostly pushes and shoves and does a really good job of cutting off the mat. He's in terrific shape and usually wears out his opponent. Everyone knows he really has no go to shot.Carter is that good.

After Carter wrestles against Iowa on Friday he would only have to wrestle one of the remaining five regular season matches to still be in the running for 100 career victories. Color me shocked if he sits those last five matches.Considering a few extra seconds to try and get a pin caused an injury leading to those forfeits, I would be shocked on a level 10 if he wrestled extra minutes or matches to get a number that doesn’t matter at all. 5 NC’s is all that matters.

They weren’t med FFTs. They were injury Defaults. The matches lasted 0:01 and were wrestled officially and unfortunately.Per Penn State Wrestling Club, Carter is currently 90-4. mcpat, Is there a bar in the Harrisburg area that shows PSU wrestling? My plans to go up Friday just died. Would be fun to yell with others for this match. They weren’t med FFTs. They were injury Defaults. The matches lasted 0:01 and were wrestled officially and unfortunately.
I can’t say I’ve ever watched PSU wrestling at a bar. I’ll be at BJC. Thanks for asking though.mcpat, Is there a bar in the Harrisburg area that shows PSU wrestling? My plans to go up Friday just died. Would be fun to yell with others for this match.
I hear there is one in the WB area, swoyersville to be exact. But I guess that doesn’t help much….mcpat, Is there a bar in the Harrisburg area that shows PSU wrestling? My plans to go up Friday just died. Would be fun to yell with others for this match.

@pawrestlersintn (just because it makes him nervous)
Guy on the InterMat forum posted/made this. Laughed pretty hard.
Bernie’s comment “needs a Bonnie voiceover” is not a surprise.

The Wharf on Derry St has a big McDevitt Wrestling banner out front. I've never gone there to watch wrestling, but might be worth a shot.mcpat, Is there a bar in the Harrisburg area that shows PSU wrestling? My plans to go up Friday just died. Would be fun to yell with others for this match.
A quick search shows a few sports bars in the Harrisburg area. I have to imagine it wouldn't be hard to get the match on one of their screens.mcpat, Is there a bar in the Harrisburg area that shows PSU wrestling? My plans to go up Friday just died. Would be fun to yell with others for this match.
Where is The Wharf? Towards downtown or near Paxtang? I haven’t been to Harrisburg in about 20 years so I’m not very familiar with what’s popular there these days. The Wharf on Derry St has a big McDevitt Wrestling banner out front. I do remember The Spot and those awesome subs you could buy there!
Sorry to get this thread of topic. I know underdog sports bar has the BigTen network. Been to the Wharf for music but never for sports. Thanks all.Where is The Wharf? You're right. I used the wrong term. The rules changed for the 2023-2024 season to this: "Medical Forfeits (Rule 2.3.12.b). Changes the first medical forfeit to a loss on the wrestler’s individual season record form, except when a medical forfeit occurs immediately following an injury default."They weren’t med FFTs. They were injury Defaults. The matches lasted 0:01 and were wrestled officially and unfortunately.

You are a funny guy (gif insert here). Can’t wait until Friday evening! I told my wife that 5 to 7 pm AZ time is blocked off and not negotiable. What are the odds that some last second urgent and can’t wait honey do pops up at 4:45 PM? 😖
