1- PSU's OLine was OUTSTANDING...not "good", but OUT-freakin-STANDING. They finally did what Franklin had been talking about week after week...they maintained their blocks just that ONE extra second. The pulls were finally effective, with Mahon and Gonzales making those plays work on the McSorley keeps and the Lead Option pitch plays.

2- Moorhead ate Brown's lunch in the passing game simply by using Brown's aggression against himself. PSU really only ran 2 passing schemes. Obviously they threw the fades to the Slot receiver because of the mismatches they were getting, which would be Gesicki and Hamilton vs Safeties. THEN they topped it off by lining up Barkley in the Slot with an empty backfield and had him sprint past the Safety or LB who tried to defend him.

The other scheme that PSU ran were a LOT of "pick plays" on crossing routes and on RBs leaking out of the backfield. Watch that pass play to ARobinson. Michigan tried to cover him out of the backfield by using the LB AWAY from where Robinson leaked out. Moorhead lined him up to the RIGHT of McSorley and leaked him out to his LEFT. Gesicki just ran a "rub route" from his tight Slot position and Robinson was good for the 1st Down.

It was VERY elementary stuff that Moorhead used in the passing game...NOTHING complex at all. Michigan lost the passing game battle because of the OLine protection AND Brown's insistence on playing Man Coverage...except on the McSorley INT pass which Trace misread as Man and was actually Zone.

3- Michigan lost the run game battle because they committed everyone except Harbaugh's Grandmother to stopping Barkley. The sight of 3 LBs and a Safety fast flowing to Barkley every play was almost comical.

That's it for now...that's MY idea of a "real quick" summary. :p
