RECAP: PSU crowns 5 All-Americans after two days of NCAAs

Re: RECAP: PSU crowns 5 All-Americans...

Based on Tim's fine report:

Conaway, McIntosh, Lawson, Gulibon and Brown are All-Americans, giving Penn State five All-Americans at this year's tournament.

Conaway will be in tomorrow morning's seventh place match.

Gulibon will be in tomorrow morning's consolation semifinal action.

Beitz went 1-2 at his first NCAA Championship and finished the year with a 19-11 record.

Brown will meet No. 8 Tyler Wilps of Pittsburgh in tomorrow night's national championship bout.

McCutcheon ended his first NCAA Championship in the round of 12 with a 2-2 mark, including a technical fall.

McIntosh went on to post the strong 6-3 decision, moving into the consolation semifinals.

Lawson posted a 4-1 win to become an All-American and move into the consolation quarterfinals.

Tim, check on Lawson's match for tomorrow ...

I've checked several of the online brackets, including the one posted on NCAA.com, and all of them have Lawson wrestling #2 seed Mike McMullan (NW) in tomorrow's consolation semis. Your article has LawDog wrestling #5 seed Conner Medbery (Wisconsin) in the consolation semis.

Thanks for the catch, Tom. He's definitely wrestling McMullan. Fixing that now.

Great recap Tim. Watching last night, it is really incredible how close the top 4 in each weight are. It felt like a youth movement as RS fr and soph's seemed to be in every weight class. Looking forward to our new guys joining the fray next year.
