I know there is no love lost for the New England Patriots on this board, but two egregious calls cost New England TWO TD's today in their game against Kansas City. First, a Kelce fumble is picked up by Gilmore who is on the way to the end zone for a TD when a ref blows his whistle ruling no fumble occurred and the play is dead. Patriots challenge and win (it wasn't even close) and gain possession but lose the TD --- and didn't score. Second, Brady throws a TD pass to WR Harry, but ref rules receiver was out of bounds on the three yard line and Patriots end up kicking a field goal --- except video replay showed he was inbounds BY SEVERAL INCHES and the Patriots could not challenge because of losing an earlier challenge on the spot of the ball on a first down that Romo, Nance and the on-air referee analyst all agreed with the Patriots on. How can a play as obvious as the inbounds/out of bounds call stand even though it was so clearly wrong. Bottom line, New England loses 11 points and the game by 7. If this was a championship game it would be New Orleans II all over again. I thought the objective was to "get it right" --- not in the NFL. Let's try to keep this an NFL officiating thread, not an anti Patriots thread :)
