What’s the latest on this? Rhoades would be a great hire, but we need to lock him down soon so the mass exodus of current players entering the portal and the commits in our recruiting classes decommiting stops.

the latest is that the bot is meeting tomorrow to approve somebody's contract

after that you will see dozens of posts varyingly complaining that the hire is not "big time", or appointing themselves comptroller of coaching salaries and complaining that we paid too much

Everything is a market, and in this market at this time I think Rhodes is the best hire. Established but not a glam guy, winner with multiple teams, PA guy "with a PA heart"?

Rhodes was a player. Dlll All American and MVP. May was a manager at IU. I'll take the hands on guy over the fantasy gamer- although what May has built is amazing and fun to watch.

PS- wow how far Tom Herman has fallen...in this day and age his salary is paltry...he was the "It coach" not tgat l9ng ago...but there are worse places to land than Boca Raton
