I don’t doubt it. He wants to go 184 so he would have to beat out Ryder or maybe Mirasola. He would be the favorite I expect but both those other kids are right there with him

My take
Ryan's effort to get Sasso and Kharctla in the line-up didn't work out so well. Now he has to deal with the fallout.

Interesting one here. Presumably was gonna be Ryder’s spot. Curious to see how that works out.
Would be surprised, every time you see the kid on video he’s highly engaged with his teammates and having the time of his life.
I would be shocked. He’s the number 1 hype man whenever they show the team during a match. He seems to absolutely love it at PSU
I’m sure we were all looking forward to Levi-Ryder-Barr or Levi-Barr-Mirasola. But I’m also sure the coaching staff knows what they are doing; that trust has been earned in spades.
Because there’s something to be said about team chemistry which recruiting over a blue chip recruit might shake up
I think it’s about time we have a Penn State Blue Team and a Penn State White Team. Too much talent to be spent on the benches each year
I would have given Ryder the shot. Iron sharpens iron, but, this wasn't necessary in my mind. No doubt Welsh will get better and I'm sure we'll all welcome him, but definitely wasn't expecting this.

He’s from Waynesburg and may just think this is the best place for him.
Do the coaches really tell him no? First world problems to be sure.
I don't like this move. Mainly because I am a big Ryder fan. But, I trust that the coaches will figure it out. I'm also not a big believer that if Ryder leaves some of his friends would follow. Some of these kids have world and olympic aspirations. In their heads, they're the best wrestler in the room, and if they can't be the best wrestler in the room, how are they going to be the best in the world. Do guys want to compete? I would hope so. But there isn't a better room in the country top to bottom in terms of talent not only starters, but practice partners, etc. We shall see what happens.
