Roll Call: Who was there the only other time SMU played at PSU in 1978?

I remember a close game in which we had to come back from a 21-12 second half deficit. SMU had a pretty decent QB in Mike Ford.
I was there - my Freshman year.

Absolutely demolished TCU the next week. One of the hardest hits on a QB I’ve ever seen. Dude was parallel to the ground about 4 feet in the air. I think it was Millan if I remember correctly.

I was there in the senior student section with a bunch of my senior friends, although I was a junior. I traded my Junior tickets and Ohio State tickets for season Senior tickets. Already was using one of my parents OSU tickets for that game. Had an absolute blast that season going to home games.

I was there. A junior in high school. We had some great teams visit HV. Texas A&M, TCU, Stanford, Utah State, Kentucky in the 70’s. I’m sure I missed a few. A lot better than The Little Sisters of Poor, and whoever wants to be a rent a beating.

It was Bruce Clark I believe. It was a true decleater and a hit I will never forget for the rest of my life.

Sorry was definitely TCU. If he had one in the Rutgers game have no idea. But definitely was TCU game.
Bruce Clark certainly made a lot of big hits in his career but I believe you are the one who has them reversed. The hit he made in the student section end zone in the 78 season that leveled the quarterback and silenced the crowd was against Rutgers.

Hit resulted in a safety. I believe we had a safety in the TCU game. Scored 26 against Rutgers two touchdownd and four field goals.

I was there. 12 years old in section WF with my Dad. He had season tickets that he got in '76 and kept for years. We won I think 26-21. Just remember it being a pretty close game.

I was there. And I played BB with Clark in Rec Hall a few Sunday nights the year before so I had and have a good interest in what BC did at PSU.

Sorry, it was Rutgers.
Check the scores. Against Rutgers we scored 26 4 field goals and 2 touchdowns. Had a safety against TCU which was the Clark hit. Wrestled intramurals with Bruce.
