I remember a close game in which we had to come back from a 21-12 second half deficit. SMU had a pretty decent QB in Mike Ford.

Absolutely demolished TCU the next week. One of the hardest hits on a QB I’ve ever seen. Dude was parallel to the ground about 4 feet in the air. I think it was Millan if I remember correctly.
Always remember that hit . I believe in the end zone of the student section. Fortunately for the QB Bruce actually pulled up.It was Bruce Clark I believe. It was a true decleater and a hit I will never forget for the rest of my life.

Bruce Clark certainly made a lot of big hits in his career but I believe you are the one who has them reversed. The hit he made in the student section end zone in the 78 season that leveled the quarterback and silenced the crowd was against Rutgers.Sorry was definitely TCU. Yep, it was Rutgers. Clark knocked the Rutgers QB out of the back end of the end zone. My first year out of PSU, but attended all the home games..... as well as the Bama game.I think that was against Rutgers.
