Hearing Gable to PSU from an Iowa insider. I have no way to vet this information. Not sure I should even share it but that’s what I’m hearing. Take it for what it’s worth. I’ve alway been skeptical of this type of information but we shall see.

He probably wants another crack at Ant the Champ in the room! From a training perspective he gets to work with 3 Olympic gold medalists in Varner, Snyder and Cael. His family and Kerks are pretty close too and nothing would surprise me this year.
No offense to Gable but I hope not unless Kerk is taking a RS. And if he is, I hope it’s to finally repair his knee.
Would be the best move for his career coming to NLWC. I hope it’s not true though

I’m on the fence, but it would result in the most depraved GIA members (e.g. Grip, Ironbutt, etc) coming to the horrific realization that they are doomed. Similar to Leatherface’s victim in this pivotal scene:

Wasn’t from him but I just have a hard time believing it to be honest. However, he’s friend with Aaron, Carter and RBY. And if he has Olympic aspirations again which he dies then to me it’s the place to be. So it’s not unreasonable for him to want to be there.

I'll start by saying I don't remotely buy it and maybe the Iowa side wants to troll PSU a bit (not doubting NCPsuFan was told something) But it goes without saying but if his goal is to repeat as Olympic champion, this is where he wants to be. Yes - he can win anywhere (duh) but why not go where there are 4 Olympic Gold Medalists at upper weights (DT, Varner, Snyder, Cael), your childhood friend who can actually push you a bit on the feet (Kerkvliet) and obviously you're close to AB, Starocci, RBY, who are all around. Our coaches are obviously also familiar with Geno.
Finally - if you want to try to be a "heel", I think joining a stacked PSU team does it way more than Iowa, KD style lol.

It’s a good friend. And I haven’t posted a few other things that he’s been right on and ahead of the “mainstream wrestling” media. He’s close to the Iowa program. Anyway, as I said before, I still don’t really buy it and understand why no one else would. Just found it interesting.
Our HR friends were a bit self righteous about cheering for Gable at his final dual at Carver. Wonder if they’d still cheer him if he had one final dual against them with PSU? 😊
I immediately thought this when he said he's returning. It's obvious he's not coming back just to win NCAAs, he wants to be in the best possible position to win another Olympic gold because that's where the real money is for him right now. Of course he can dominate domestic competition but if we're being honest he kind of got lucky to win in Tokyo. No way should he have been allowed to just let up the Georgian like he did. If he truly wants to up his game there is only one place for him to go and it ain't a room with two rabid gerbils running things.

I said it in another thread, but Kerk could take an ORS and Gable could destroy minds in Iowa City. Plus, the all-time team score record at NCAAs would be in even more serious jeopardy. He could win a third title, help set the all-time mark and prep for 2024 in one fell swoop.
I don't think it would shock anybody at this point if he went to PSU.

Going into the last match at nationals PSU needs a pin to set the new all time points record at 171. It's Gable vs Cassi and he's got the chin....
PS - I don't really think he is coming. It may be hard to pass up big $$$ somewhere else, despite the numerous obvious benefits of what our room and program will provide.

Well the Olympic training center is in HV and nowhere else. Why wouldn’t he want to be in that room? If Kerk is mending from a bum knee and has a Oly RS the door is open. I really believe Cael has bigger aspirations and it ain’t NCAA’s. It’s the world and it starts in HV. This program is built for much a higher level. NCAAs is a second level. Iron sharpens iron. Steveson needs to be around people who obsess about gold and not just think about it. USA Wrestling has become a world level competition. Think forward and don’t look back. Mt. Olympus is in HV! Money will come pouring in to support it.
I don’t think it happens but he does seem to be close to a bunch of PSU guys and witnessing the reaction on GIA would be absolutely priceless.

Training partners are RBY, Zain, Nolf, Brooks, McIntosh, and Kerkvliet.
Does it get any better than that? That’s the current and some of the future.
Why not have them all live in HV and train everyday under Cael, Casey, Cody, and Kennedy? There is no disruption to their routine. Everything is in HV including the Trials.
