I honestly love it and plan to watch Colorado take on a pretty good BYU team. This could end up being one of the best bowl games and probably high scoring. I have never rooted for the Buffs and not a big fan of Coach Prime, but I’m going to be pulling for them in a so called meaningless bowl game. You know who’s head is going to explode.

Deon says his kid is going #1 but I haven’t seen one mock draft that has him going first they all have Cam Ward #1

Deion isn’t about to coach a game without those two, he would get crushed and he doesn’t want to be embarrassed. Getting CU to pay for the insurance policies was the one way to make it work. This is more about Deion saving face than anything else.

My head isn't. They got paid and insurance policies were taken out. If they want to play that's their choice. Wrong long term decision but money talks.

I agree that Deion wants to look good and win a bowl game. The insurance policy is obviously also a way to cover an injury and Deion got CU to front the money for that. I think it still goes back to how meaningless bowl games are as some would claim. CU won 9 games, this game doesn’t change the narrative on them having a good season. Winning a bowl game and beating BYU who is their B12 rival means something. Most would understand his son and Hunter opting out. Coach Prime is old school and this is an important game for CU and his image.

He would probably be better off in the long run letting young guys play and get experience for next year.

FWIW, it IS meaningless. It literally impacts nothing. This is basically a B12 exhibition game between the 3rd and 4th place teams that won't even impact the B12 standings. It only means something to the ADs that will put some money in their coffers to pay for player salaries and 20 extra schollies.
