It would seem that S. Barkley is physically ready to play. Let's hope he's able to block. He seems like the type of guy who will give it all he has. Can't get over how well he catches the ball. Don't want to get too far ahead, but at least he seems to have the physical tools and desire to be a great all-around back. Info about Barkley at the end of linked article.

No doubt, pretty impressive numbers. A la Curtis Enis, maybe he can help in other areas of need where his strength & athleticism, and he has experience playing from high school , could help immediately even if only for his Fr year.

Where are all the wizards that were posting that he is 100% headed for a redshirt????

Right here. He is a true freshman. It's not out of the question that he plays, but Akeel Lynch is a RSJR who has looked very good running the ball when he's gotten the opportunity and there are three guys who are RSFR that got some pretty high praise last year as part of the scout team. Anybody that thinks just because he looked great at L4L that it's ridiculous that people think he's going to RS is foolish.

Sure, Barkley looks like he's ready to play, and I'm as excited about him as anyone, but that doesn't mean he'll play. Akeel Lynch is the starter and there's some good talent behind him in three RSFR. Let's wait to see what happens once the season starts before we start anointing Barkley the starter.

I had the privilege of seeing every one of SaSa's high school games. He is a terrific talent. That being said, I'd be thrilled if he returned kicks this season. He is a very good kickoff return man. Anything more than that I would consider gravy.

I think he's the future at PSU, and I think he's an elite talent. He's probably the best RB recruit since Austin Scott. And if he contributes this year it will be a testament to his talent. However, there is a pretty good amount of talent at RB right now that came in before him. I do know that CJF plays the best guys at each position, so if he's better than other guys he'll play. If he isn't then that means the other guys are pretty damn good.
