he needs 114 total yards to break 2000 as a rookie. Only two others have done this.
If two others have already done it..... are you “making history”?
In all the HISTORY of the NFL, he would be one if only three to do it. Historically, he would be the third. He would be the first Giant, the first Lion, the first what ever. That is history. LOL and tongue in cheek. It’s a pretty big deal.If two others have already done it..... are you “making history”?
I don’t know, when someone gets 3,000 hits they’re said to have made history even though others have done it...or 500 home runs. How about if a pitcher gets 500 wins, would that be making history even though Cy Young did it?If two others have already done it..... are you “making history”?

norm is an asshole 365Seriously, 2 days after Christmas, and you can't feign politeness
"Is that Willie Nelson in the middle?"wisconsin's kicker is awful. He's missed two field goals that weren't close. One straight left, one straight right.
He might be the first kicker to miss 2000 yds worth of kicks.wisconsin's kicker is awful. He's missed two field goals that weren't close. One straight left, one straight right.
Most of us know something about some things, he's one of two here who know everything about everything- or think they do anyway.Dr. Pedantic...I mean, Mr. Pedantic
norm is an asshole 365
It is historic.......he will tie the previous record except in 2016.....Felli was an ass for 366 days as it was a leap year......norm is an asshole 365
Stormin play nice? Good luck waiting for that.Jeesh - play nice or you’ll be grounded for bowl season
Ha! Post of the week.If you get 2,000 yards and don’t make the playoffs, are those “meaningless” yards. Do we need a poll?
Or whoever said that the accomplishment made history was wrong. I set high school records but I hardly made history (just semantics, really).I don’t know, when someone gets 3,000 hits they’re said to have made history even though others have done it...or 500 home runs. Pretty amazing that Barkley seems to be the only guy not allowed to have a couple of bad games. Maybe expectations are just too high. Mayfield has had his share of bad games, but they seem to get forgotten about, but not Barkley. A bad game or two and he drops down on the award list. Can the OP please change sAquon's name in the subject title? Thanks.
Also, imagine if Saquon tops 2,000 yards and somehow loses out on Rookie of the Year.
It’s better than being called “sequin”Can the OP please change sAquon's name in the subject title?]
It shouldn’t even be close. Mayfield isn’t in the top 10 in any category for QB....he is 11th for INT’s but only 18th in attempts....so he’s throwing a high percentage of picks. Barkley is in the top 5 for every meaningful category and top 3 for some....and he hasn’t fumbled once. It’s a joke for anyone to even consider Mayfield over Barkley. He deserves ROY no doubt. Some people seem to forget he's running behind a horrid OL and there is nothing he can do when the D is focusing 100% on him.
He would have broke every rookie record if he played for the Rams.
If two others have already done it..... are you “making history”?
If someone is the 3rd person in this thread to make a dumb comment, are they making board history? If two others have already done it..... are you “making history”?

How in the world would the Giants have won 3 or 4 without him? My guess is they would have won maybe one. He’s been almost their entire offense all year. He has had two down games the last two weeks and they’ve lost them both. Without him they would have those results every week. I’ve watched every game they’ve played this year and without him they’re easily the worst team in the NFL.I’d vote for Barkley.
But if someone where looking to justify a vote for Mayfield, it wouldn’t be hard.
One could argue (and I’d agree):
Without Mayfield the Browns win 2 games - instead of 7 or 8.
Without Barkley, the crappy Giants are far less entertaining to watch, but probably win 3 or 4 crappy games instead of 5 crappy games.
The real shame is that - at least IMO - the Browns woulda’ coulda’ shoulda’ had BOTH Mayfield and Barkley.
Jive has posted double figure dumb in many threads just not this one, praise dark chocolate. If someone is the 3rd person in this thread to make a dumb comment, are they making board history?

Yes.....technically everything done in the past is now history. ;-)If two others have already done it..... are you “making history”?
Only if we can have a red carpet award ceremony.Maybe we could start poster awards.
Oh if only women thought that way.Yes.....technically everything done in the past is now history. ;-)
Barkley has made history, sets records for receptions by a running back with his 89th, breaks Reggie Bush record. Only 0ne of three RB's with over 2000 yards from scrimmage. Dickerson and I believe Edgerin James the other two.Oh if only women thought that way.
But what if Someone trips on the red carpet and ruins their career in the pros?!Only if we can have a red carpet award ceremony.
