133 Cons. Semis: Gulibon vs. A. J. Schopp (Edinboro) on Mat 3 ...

Per 1:
missed the 1st minute. Jimmy gets a TD just as I got the stream, 2-0. Schopp working on a reversal near the edge, and after a lot of work he gets the reversal as they go OOB with 8 sec. Jimmy with 50+ min of RT. End, 2-2

Per 2:
Jimmy defers, and Schopp chooses top. Schopp locks a leg and working on an ankle. Jimmy tried for a reversal, but in the roll through Schopp had a cradle and got the pin. Crazy sequence. I think Schopp bated him, and Jimmy didn't realize the consequences of the roll-through.

Damn

197 Cons Semis: McIntosh vs. J'Den Cox (Mizzou) on Mat 2 ...

tough matchup for Scratch.

Per 1:
Ma has the left leg wrapped. Mac on a low single near the edge, Cox sprawls and whizzers, Mac trying to pull back in, but OOB with 2:18. 1:30 left. Cox has yet to shoot. And then he half-heartedly does. Cox reaches, nothing. Mac reaches, nothing. Under 1 min. Mac with another reach, nothing. 30 sec. OOB with 23 sec. Hand fighting and head control battles. End

Per 2:
Cox's choice, and he takes bottom. Cox to his feet, Mac takes him back down, Cox back up and out at 1:43, 0-1. Ear to ear. Collar ties. Under 1 min, still no shots by either guy. Mac semi-shoots, blocked. Under 30. Underhood by Mac, and OOB at 17 sec. Cox reaches for an ankle, nothing. End

Per 3:
Mac chooses bottom. Mac working to base, taken back down, up to base again, and OOB at 1:37. Mac up to base, tries a roll-through and is out around 1:20, 1-1. No RT for Cox. 1 min left. Somebody has to get a TD. 45 sec. Ear to ear, and stoppage as Cox's chin strap comes undone. Under 30, and collar ties. 15 and both stalking, Mac gets a single, and gets the TD with 4 sec, 3-1, he wins. Great job, McIntosh!!!!! He'll wrestle for 3rd.

The announcer calling the Kokesh - Evans match said that Evans has done nothing but run. A few seconds later the ref calls it. If they would only do that consistently.

285 Cons. Semis: Lawson vs. McMullan (NW) on mat 1 ...

McMullan is the #2 seed.

Per 1:
Missed the begging due to McIntosh's match. McMullan got TD, then a very quick 2 NF, to go up 0-4. Another tilt and another very quick 2 swipes, 0-6. CS not pleased with the first NF call per the announcers. OOB with 47 sec. Not much movement by LawDog off whistle, and then flattened. McMullan with the rideout, though Jimmy was to his feet with under 5 -- just couldn't get out.

Per 2:
LawDog defers, so McMullan takes bottom. Caution on LawDog. McMullan up quikckly, down, and back up and out in 8 sec, 0-7. OOB with 1:21. 2:35 of RT for McMullan. McMullan with a Russian Tie, then nearly a TD but OOB with 38 sec. Jimmy keeps feinting but not shooting. End

Per 3:
LawDog takes bottom. Announcers think it's a mistake. LawDog with a roll, but gets flattened on his stomach. RT now over 3 min. LawDog still flat. Works to his knees, then his base, and is out at 55 sec, 1-7. Jimmy reaches but OOB with 42 sec. McMullan with a shot from way out, Jimmy with a counter, nothing, then OOB with 24 sec. 15 sec. OOB with 6 sec. Jimmy shoots from too far out, gets flat and McMullan spins behind for the TD at the buzzer, 1-9. With RT, it's a 1-10 loss for LawDog.

Yes.... Morgan showing his expertise, waiting for his shot and making it good.

He can get so low with his great base. Uses his smaller, but very solid size advantage for TDs.

Great to watch him. So happy he was able to take #1 seed Cox.

125 7th/8th: Conaway vs. Eddie Klimara (Ok. St.) ...

Klimira beat JC 8-7 in the dual earlier this season.

Per 1:
Klim in on a leg, JC trying to step over, nearly stacks Klim, a stalemate at 1:25. Klim reaches for an ankle, nothing. Klim in deep on a single to a double, gets the TD, 0-2. OOB with 57 sec. JC to feet, taken back down. Back to feet again, and gets esc as they go OOB at 27 sec, 1-2. JC in on a leg, nearly got it but ran out of time.

Per 2:
JC chooses bottom. JC up and out in 7 sec, 2-2. 44 sec of RT for Klimara. JC in on a single, switches to double and gets the TD at the edge, 4-2, and OOB at 1:25. Klimara up but taken back down. Same sequence is repeated. JC with a gut wrench. OOB with 56 sec. Up again, and taken back down by JC. Klimara tries a gramby but gets nothing. JC with an arm bar and trying to tilt. End. JC with 30+ sec of RT.

Per 3:
Klimara takes down. JC has 41 sec of RT. Klimara up quickly, but OOB at 1:54. Out in 2 sec, 4-3. 50 sec of RT for JC. OOB with 1:37. Klimara with a head lock, nothing. JC in on a single, lifting, Klimara sprawls and gets a headlock, and nothing with 45 sec to go. 30- sec. JC gets the right leg, Klimara tries to scramble, and gets a TD with 10 sec, 4-5. JC with a gramby, but OOB with 5 sec. JC up, gramby, but runs out of time. Tough luck for JC. Looked like he was in good position on the late shot, but Klimara got the TD off the scramble. JC finishes in 8th place.

Conway shoots 8-10 times the Ok kid "maybe" once. This is getting To frustrating to watch - cal the GD STALL!

133 5th place: Gulibon vs. Mason Beckman (Lehigh) on Mat 1 ...

Jimmy won 8-3 in the dual in November.

Per 1
missed 1st minute due to JC's match. Beckman got a TD, so 0-2. Jimmy out at 1:55, 1-2. Jimmy has a single and gets the TD, 3-2. OOB with 1:26. Beckman with a sitout, covered. Sitsout again, and is out at 57 sec, 3-3. OOB with 22 sec. End

Per 2
Gulibon defers, and Beckman takes bottom. Caution on Gulibon for not being behind the elbow. Sitout by Beckman, covered. RT getting near 1 min for Jimmy. Now over 1 min. Beckman out at 1:21, 3-4. OOB at 1:07. Stalemate at 47 sec. 1:12 in RT for Jimmy. Jimmy in on another single, Beckman whizzers and rolls, JImmy stuffs that and gets 2 NF, 7-4. Beckman to feet and out, 7-5. OOB with 5 sec. 1:24 of RT for Jimmy. End

Per 3
Jimmy takes bottom. Jimmy out in 5 sec, 8-5, and preserves RT. Jimmy in on another single, near the edge, trying to drag Beckman back on, but OOB with 1:18. May have been stalemate. 1:18 in RT for Jimmy. Beckman in on a single, Jimmy sprawls, nothing. OOB with 43 sec. Beckman halfhearted shot, blocked. Then Beckman on a single, whizzer and sprawl by Jimmy, and it ends. Jimmy takes 5th place!!!! with a 9-5 victory (due to RT).

197 3rd/4th: McIntosh vs. Schiller (Minny) on Mat 2 ...

these two again. Some things never change.;)

Per 1:
Collar ties early. Schiller seems aggressive. Mac in on a leg, sprawl, nothing. 1:30 in. Mac in on a leg, goes to double, gets the tD after a scramble, 2-0. Schiller up and out at 1:09, 2-1. Mac in on another single, Schiller sprawls and grabs the near ankle, a scramble, and Mac gets the TD, 4-1, with about 18 sec. OOB with 3 sec. Schiller did a nice job on that scramble early on, but Mac never let go of the leg and then elevated his hips. End

Per 2:
McIntosh takes bottom. Up to base, sits out and gets the rev at 1:49, 6-1. OOB with 1:46. Schiller to his feet, taken back down. Mac building RT, up to 45 sec. Schiller rolls thru and nearly gets stuck. Schiller up to feet but OOB at 1:01. Schiller up but down again. RT over 1 min. Mac locks a cradle, trying to jump over, nothing, and ends up giving up a rev, 6-3. Mac up and out, 7-3. OOB with 18 sec. Schiller tries a duck, nothing. May have been Schiller's 1st legitimate shot. OOB with 2 sec. End

Per 3:
Schiller takes bottom. Schiller to feet, standing lift by Mac, then Schiller is out, 7-4. 1:35 remaining. RT still over 1. Mac in on a leg, Schiller in a scramble, stalemate at 1:11. RT at 1:45. Schiller in on a leg, Mac sprawls and then he gets in on a leg, another stalemate at 54. CS mad at the quick SM. Schiller on a quick TD, then Mac with a rev, 9-6. OOB at 35 sec. 1:44 of RT. Schiller to his feet and out at 30 sec. 9-7. Schiller shoots, Mac locks up a leg, stalemate at 11 sec. Mac in on a leg, gets the TD at 2 sec, and with RT he wins 12-7, and takes 3rd place!!!!!!!!

Great job by McIntosh.

285 5th place: Lawson vs. Telford (Iowa) on Mat 1 ...

so each end their careers wrestling once again. Telford won both matches this season. I hope LawDog commits to shooting.

Per 1:
Telford gets in early on a single, and gets the TD, 0-2. OOB with 2:30. 0-2. Jimmy is flattened, and RT is growing. Telford with a chicken win that seems to be controlling Lawson. RT over a min. Telford switches to a chicken win on the other arm. LawDog not doing much. 30 sec left. OOB with 15 sec. Telford cautioned for starting early. RT at 2:29 and growing. OOB at 5 sec. End

Per 2:
LasDog with choice, and takes bottom. Not sure why. LawDog to base, back down, not flattened. RT over 3 min. I still can't believe the coaches/LawDog chose bottom. LawDog sits out but can't do so as arm is locked behind him, so he spins back and is flattened. Jimmy to feet, dancing on 1 leg, and end of period.

Per 3:
Telford choice, and takes bottom. Surprised he didn't take top. Over 4 min of RT for Telford. Telford up quickly, and then cut at 1:49, 0-3. Collar ties. LawDog needs a TD and NF to overcome RT. RT is locked up for Telford. 1 min left, and no shots from either guy. LawDog with a feint, but back to collar ties. 40 sec. 30 sec. How can you be losing and not shoot?. Kind of shot by Jimmy, blocked and a TD by Telford with 2 sec. With RT, it's a 6-0 loss for LawDog. Jimmy finishes in 6th place.

And that's a wrap for Session V. PSU is in 6th place

OSU will be the first school to win national...

Re: 133 Cons. Semis: Gulibon vs. A. J. Schopp (Edinboro) on Mat 3 ...

Prior to that roll sequence, it looked like Jimmy had Schopp pinned with the defensive pin. Schopp's shoulders were flat on the mat and the ref totally missed it. They were flat much longer than Hammond's shoulders were at big tens I can tell you that.
