SIAP.....Freeh out at Pepper Hamilton

LOL. Plenty of folks were dumbfounded at the "Freeh" selection (at that time, they didn't know what a self-serving cabal of Scoundrels your masters were) Plenty? Name five of consequence. Ok I'll cut you some slack. Name just two.

I WILL concede you one point, in retrospect, ANY whore commissioned by your masters would have been a horrendous decision. I view the Paterno family's hire of messr whores Sollers, Thornburgh, Clemente, and Berlin the same way.

Have a great day!!!

Where's your proof? If Lubrano or any of the other dissidents have it, let them come forward with it. Ryan Bagwell with his hundreds of FOIA e-mails found nothing of what you are suggesting so go peddle your asinine theories somewhere.

You and the boys still butt-hurt??

When the BEST trio you can come up with includes Dan Cocco? Dan-freaking-Cocco?

When you have to dig deep.....don't do it in the shallow end of the gene pool.

Four years later, this "fact" is still unproven.

Really? We know one person who had the opportunity to say they reported it to the police who did not say that. And why would 2 other individuals report mere "horseplay" to the police; in fact they admitted they did not.

I'm just trying to keep you honest here.:)

Freeh's findings were crafted from direct and circumstantial evidence uncovered during the investigation and he all but said so during his presentation. If it looks like a duck and quacks likes a duck, guess what? People are found guilty every day on the preponderance of the evidence. And who are those people to who you refer? The Board members who Louie also strongly criticized in his report?
Be careful with the "looks like a duck" line of reasoning. It can lead to one eating a very "shitty" tasting chocolate ice cream cone if stretched too far (like Freeh did).

Deviney Meyer, Suhey? Weren't they alumni trustees. Speak up? Surely you jest.
He's butt-hurt that him and the boys couldn't get Dan "IQ of a Dildo" Cocco and the Frazier lackey (Julie McHugh) and Schuyler elected to the BOT.

His masters gave him a good whipping for that failure....in addition to his usual weekly boot-licking tasks, and his daily piss-boy activities at the "club"....they made him flog himself for his incompetence.

Now his masters have to not only deal with NINE elected Trustees.....but they had to use one of their cram-down appointee slots for that worthless nut-bag Schuyler.

It's been hard on CR. Cut him some slack

Once it is substantiated that those above Fteeh are "stained", every decision they make is equally stained

Penn State's incompetent legal counsel and administrative leader Rodney Erickson should never have let Jerry on campus w/ children in the first place; an observation Joe Paterno made during Jerry's retirement negotiation.
PSU didn't have an in house legal counsel when Jerry retired in 1999 and Rod only became interim president after Spanier was removed. Try again. But thanks for raising one interesting point. If JVP did indeed have a problem with Jerry bringing kids on campus after Jerry's retirement, what prompted this? Did he know or heard something about Jerry circa 1999 that caused him concern? And if he was concerned, why didn't he inquire about who the boy in the shower was and if he was OK when the 2001 shower incident was reported to him by Mike?

  1. Hours after Freeh was hired, the Philly Inquirer questioned and exposed PSU's failure to disclose Freeh's past MBNA employ and conflicts extending to TSM.
  2. ABC News questioned Freeh's relationship with Ric Struthers. They report Struthers helping to arrange the "MBNA Jerry Sandusky Testimonial Dinner and Roast," held by Penn State's athletics department to benefit the Second Mile, in 2000.
These reports were so insignificant that PSU and Freeh's own company were forced to issue a statements on Freeh having no "personal connections" to PSU.

I would offer you links, but you knew all of this already.

I don't think that PH can escape financial liability (remember - Freeh subcontracted "work" to PH and PH used that money to "acquire" Freeh) unless some of the plaintiffs would be satisfied by PH throwing Freeh under the bus. Which is possible, of course.

I get the feeling PH will do what is best for PH and claim they knew nothing of Freeh's intent to deceive

wanna know who would defend a lying sack of sh*t like Freeh?

only another lying sack of sh*t. one who thinks God is on his side, LOL.

CR, Darlin!

So glad to be able to catch up with you. It is always so hard to guess on which threads you will be posting.
I'm a little worried about you tonight; you seem a little low. Normally you elevate yourself toa lofty position of self aggrandizement and issue missives of condescending derision on the lesser of us. Tonight you seem to be arguing on a peer level and just disputing facts. A little disappointing and much less entertaining. Are you feelin all right?

That dog don't hunt. If there was any evidence of that and Freeh took $8.5 million from Penn State and didn't find it, then your pals are doubly incompetent.
Paterno didn't want any outsiders in his lair. He was legendary for it. He sure as hell didn't want Jerry bringing in his kids.
Who overruled Paterno? Why didn't Freeh tell us? One of your pals, no doubt.

You're getting more and more desperate CR. The noose is tightening.
Louis Freeh gets the boot the same day that Wilmington Trust gets indicted by the Feds. Coincidence? I think not. He is a dirty, rotten, scoundrel just like your friends.

I didn't say in-house legal counsel. And if you think Jerry's deal wasn't reviewed by at least one attorney representing Penn State it's you who needs to "try again." Anyone following this story knows Rodney Erickson was intimately involved in negotiating Jerry's retirement package.

Re: JVP, there are literally dozens of reasons why Joe (or any logical person) would not want Jerry and his kids in the Penn State facilities, none of which have anything to do with child abuse; liability for injury in the weight room is an obvious one.

And in that same vein, there are literally dozens of reasons why Joe (or any logical person) would not initiate a rouge inquiry into the identity of the boy in the shower; Joe not being a child care professional and not wanting to mistakenly accuse someone of something so horrendous is an obvious one.

Even though I disagree with many of your statements, I used to think you might have some valuable perspective on things as you seem to have some connection to the BOTs...I don't believe that anymore.

Or you could say that the failure of certain individuals at Penn State to report the MM observations to the police cost Penn State a huge amount of money, as well as credibility.

Not unless your dishonest.

Why is that? Because you didn't get the result you were expecting? At the time of his hire no one was complaining about Freeh being tabbed to conduct the investigation. No one. Ken and Ron initially wanted Chertoff but for very legitimate reasons, Freeh got the nod. My guess is that you would be saying Chertoff or Guliani would have been a bad decision if either one of them would have been hired and had come to the same conclusions as Freeh. No?

Not hard on me at all. Quite the opposite. I'm sitting here four years in with a cheshire cat grin knowing the university is and will continue to be better because of the courageous decisions made by some remarkable people under extremely difficult circumstances. Do we still have a nationally recognized academic/research institution? Do we still have a very good and financially stable Athletic's department? Do kids still want to come to PSU to learn? Is our endowment growing? The answer is yes, yes, yes and yes.

Sadly, the misanthropes will continue to come here and find fault with almost everything in life including all that is right with PSU. To you I say if you don't like what you see or hear then go find another school to support rather than bash everything and everybody that is pro PSU. You're not wanted. What sad miserable people some of you must be to come here every single day to rant, criticize, and create fictions about things or people you know little about. Go get a life! And the naivete of some of you is without bounds. The PSU train is moving forward into a bright future at break neck.speed and you think by criticizing the engineer from afar he's about to slow it down? Not happening now or anytime in your lifetime because we control the transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity.

You and your minions can take all the pot shots at me you want but I take comfort in the fact that I can sleep well at night because I'm on the winning team while you......well you don't even have a team.

Lol, the university is heading into the courtroom with no hope of concealing the lies of the bot. Once that happens, all bets are off for those members.

You're wrong again CR
As soon as it was Freeh I knew the fix was in and many people were complaining before the investigation even took place

I wish I could say the same, but I was like so many others (and worse, i'm actually informed when comes to investigative matters, so more's the pity for my part) and thought it was a great move from a PR perspective. What I did not know (nor did most others) was that this guy had such a lousy track record and would be so easily bought... nor that he was such a poor investigator that even if he hadn't been bought he'd still screw the pooch. Once the evidence came to light (about what this POS was doing), most of us figured it out.

This was a bought and paid for assassination. May all the assassins and their cohorts die miserable deaths.

The moment the Freeh report was released you could spot the real cover up. In the executive summary, it repeated over and over that the BOT had no knowledge. It was so obvious, it was like it was a requirement to type this statement into each paragraph. The BOT had no knowledge, the BOT had no knowledge, the BOT had no knowledge, these aren't the droids you are looking for, the BOT had no knowledge.

Ahem, Louis, I think we know who orchestrated the cover up. Thanks.

Freeh's "report" didn't "quack" either. To the discerning reader, it smelled like shit. The scoundrels (and haters) ate it up like a giant bowl of chocolate ice cream. Now, they have a bad case of halitosis and a shitty taste in their mouth.

LOL!!!! The "Floaters"!!!!!!!!!!

Like all scum, they Float to the top! Name your "Floater".

Ah, there's the derision we are familiar with. Very nice "canned rant" using decades old television technology as analogies. Who do we know that would have such a rant at the ready?

CR, we're hardly misanthropes. We may well hate your guts, but we like the rest of humanity just fine.

You should stick to the tried-and-true "radical fringe". It wasn't original, but it has a nice ring to it.

The world would be a much better place if only your parents had been aborted.

(And oh, by the way. Freeh's deposition is coming up in about a month. Should be interesting.)

And the other shoe drops.
The US Attorney in Delaware has just indicted Wilmington Trust.
http://www.justice.gov/usao-de/pr/s...-m-oberly-iii-regarding-indictment-wilmington
And who was a member of the Board of Directors when it was busy hiding its bad loans?
Louis Freeh.

With this, his pending depo in the Paterno matter, and the various other matters looming over his head, it appears that Louis Freeh has become the Jerry Sandusky of Pepper Hamilton--a person whose toxicity makes his very name a source of revulsion.

Our BoT has never for a moment criticized Louis Freeh. It is one of many things that single out our Board as special. Everyone who deals with this guy, friend or foe, eventually ends up hating him, except the OG BoT and their buddy, CR.

This is the guy they chose to do the most sensitive investigative work in the history of the University they were sworn to protect. This is the guy they paid all that money to. What, less than 2 years ago his firm MERGED WITH PH, and now he is "going back" to Freeh Sporkin Sullivan? I do not understand how there can even be a Freeh Sporkin Sullivan, but I guess they can't buy your actual name. I am sure PH won't be using those names The Sullivans are leaving PH also.

The old corporate auditor in me suspects there is another shoe yet to drop. Something else, something big that Louie f'ed up. This indictment of the Wilmington Trust is certainly concerning since Louie was on the Board, but as we have seen in our own case, it is hard to make these corporate swells own what they condoned.

I think after we wait a while we will see why this happened.
