Spanier to jail May 1

If you think Sandusky was the reason Corbett wasn’t re-elected.....LOL

Throwing Paterno under the bus definitely cost Corbett the election.

2014 was a big year for Republicans. Many Republicans won gubernatorial elections in very blue states, including Maryland, Massachusetts, and Illinois. They also were re-elected in purple states like Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio. Pennsylvania was the ONLY state in the US that flipped from Republican to Democrat that year, despite the fact that the state senate and house elections were overwhelmingly won by Republicans.

Yep--I'm in the mood for some laughs today. I see I hooked one already.
I feel for the others brought down by the tickle monster because the BoT/school put them on the stake and soaked the wood with kerosene. I put a few of them on ignore as they are basically idol worshipers that don't want to deal with the reality of what the man is and what he did. They need some help to cope with it I guess...it's on them at this point.

IIRC, Corbett was the only GOP incumbent congress person or gov to lose his seat. Not only that, central PA (which votes strait repubican in most years) went against Corbett while voting in several new GOP candidates. It is very unusual for a person at the top of the ticket to lose while everyone under him wins as so many will simply vote the strait party ticket. There is no questions throwing Paterno under the bus cost him the election.

BTW, not only did corbett lose, he lost by almost ten points. You'll see that the democrats, Wolfe, carried Pitt and Philly easily. This is typical. The rest of the state typically votes GOP. However, you'll see in this map, the center of the state voted for Wolfe. District 5 and 10 both voted in GOP reps in the same center part of the state.

There is almost no question Corbett lost because of PSU

Leaving no doubt JVP was the most powerful person in the state.

They own your head, you do realize that. Nobody else gives a flying f--k what some Pitt trolls think in the comments section of a POS small time paper...but you. They have you wrapped around the axle and have for years. Congrats on being the butt of their joke for this long and failing to realize it.

Is Spanier battling cancer? I don’t remember hearing that before.
Whether or not Sandusky is innocent, Spanier has been a victim of a travesty of justice. Spanier is innocent based on the facts as well as the law. Spanier is a victim based on a political hit job from former Governor, one term Tommy, Corbett.

Except he was found guilty and lost every appeal. And lost his suit against Freeh.

Does he still have a clearance? They renew every 5 years.

Political persecution and being imprisoned on fabricated charges are quite common under corrupt and totalitarian forms of government. Poisoning the jury pool and the manipulating of the media are all part of the process. The PSU 3 have been wrongfully convicted and Commonwealth taxpayers have been charged hundreds of thousands of dollars......to say nothing of the misuse of resources on this charade. On the other hand, if the OAG prosecutors had not been pursuing orders to frame the PSU administrators, they likely would have spent the time trading porn anyway.

Who are the heck are those people anyway? Or it is just one disgruntled Pitt fan living in his moms basement with several burner accounts.

JockstrapJohn is a disgruntled former Penn Stater who is an imbecile. The other "people" are all mbe34 under burner nics.

U.S. District Magistrate Judge Karoline Mehalchick scheduled a hearing for April 25 - six days before Spanier’s report date - on Spanier’s latest appeal of his conviction and sentence. It was not immediately clear Thursday if Mehalchick could issue a stay out of that proceeding.

Spanier never had a chance in this cesspool we call the PA Government/Judicial system.

Disagree. His lawyers needed to put on a defense rather than assume the jury was full of sentient beings. Huge blunder to not mount a defense and we all knew it at the time.

Dr Spanier was persecuted by a corrupt government hell bent on extracting their pound of flesh.

I pray for Graham's safety in prison but I fear he will be raped or killed by someone that has nothing to lose. He'll be lucky if he makes it.

Yet here in Pittsburgh they held memorial run for grandstanding, totally void of conscience piece of trash Laura Ditka. What a state, and what a country.

I represented criminal defendants for over 40 years in Pennsylvania. By all reports, the main problem for most inmates it comes down to this--it is not where you are, its where you aren't. You aren't at home with your spouse and kids or grandkids. you can't go get a beer or glass of wine and you generally have to share the TV. Once Spanier hits Center County Prison, he will be segregated with others who are on their way out of prison. Someone here said ALL offenders go through the county gig. That is accurate but before sentencing they are kept in the blocks where the problems are. After sentencing, people like GS will be with other short timers who are on their way out and don't want any more legal problems to get in their way. I don't believe Sphincter-stretching is going to be problem.

corbett knew he was toast and out of desperation tried to clear the air with respect to Joe. corbett spoke the truth about Joe, finally, but everyone knew corbett's motives at that time. I doubt anyone fell for it. Obviously not nearly as many did as corbett had hoped for.
