Amazing. Outrageous. There are no words to describe how corrupted our criminal justice system is. A jail sentence on a single misdemeanor for a non-violent guy who has an outstanding public service track record (love him or hate him):
Well that’s one opinion I guess yet no one from TSM has sniffed the law in general let alone a jail cell - the charity where all the kids came from. PA the state that Illinois loves because they can say, well at least we aren’t as corrupt as PA.

Yeah, going to jail when you are elderly and labeled a pedophile enabler, though innocent, is no big deal.
This is such an absurd joke. The Pennsylvania justice system is completely screwed up, and Spanier got screwed along with it.
It’s not a big deal if you aren’t the one doing time. How much time have you done in prison? SMH

Judge allowing him to participate in a work release program. Sucks going to jail for any amount of time and certainly is not good...but this is easy time that will not be uber tough on him IMO.
In that case, why don’t you volunteer to serve the time for him. Better yet, go rob a convenience store and turn yourself in.

Shapiro’s choice of witnesses in the Sandusky case will have nothing to do with the outcome of his next elected position. No one cares. He might miss a few votes from this board, but it ain’t going to matter one bit.
You do know that 99% of all "State inmates" first go through the county prison/jail system before they become "state inmates", correct? Inmates don't become hostile, molesters, etc. and just downright nasty once they become "state inmates". Don't kid yourself........county facilities are just as bad as the state facilitirs, many times worse.
Well before Sandusky nonsense, I thought Spanier was an arrogant dick. Nothing has changed. But, I’ll be damned if that dude deserves one second in jail. That is really effed up.
My response was based on Spanier being sentenced to jail/prison in Pennsylvania. Its a matter of semantics in reference to prison vs jail terminology. The greater majority of county jails in Pennsylvania have historically been called county prisons and were/are listed as prisons, not jails. Over the years a number of county facilities have changed their name to "Correctional Facility". Regardless of what they are called, jail-prison- correctional facility, they are one in the same no matter what you may think. I suggest you do a little research before you call someone else an idiot, you IDIOT. Since my keyboard muscles are obviously not as big as yours, I bow to your toughness, tough guy. Semper Fi.
