Hard to judge Ohio State QB’s they play with such great receivers.Different game but I have no idea what scouts saw in Justin Fields

It’s impossible to draft as bad in the secondary as the Steelers the last 15 years. My wife could have done better. Some great plays by both sides but Bills up 17-3 halfway through 2nd quarter.
Agreed--he's awful like all Ohio State QBs have beenDifferent game but I have no idea what scouts saw in Justin Fields
Allen is very talented but my beloved Steelers are inept. If I hear Tomlin talk about the “standard” in his presser my TV may not survive.Josh Allen 15 completions. 350 yards. 4 TDs.
In the first half!
And they usually have all day back there to find their receivers.Hard to judge Ohio State QB’s they play with such great receivers.
Next man up!Allen is very talented but my beloved Steelers are inept. If I hear Tomlin talk about the “standard” in his presser my TV may not survive.
And zero pressure. Perhaps the worst choice for a young QB to actually prepare you for the NFL. I mean they do get drafted but always flame out early.Hard to judge Ohio State QB’s they play with such great receivers.
And a miss.Down 31-3 late in the 3rd quarter Mike Tomlin tries a field goal. Just wow.
Agreed. These OSU qbs play in one game a year, maybe where they are under duress. Every other game is pitch and catch to wide open receivers where they have all day to throw.Different game but I have no idea what scouts saw in Justin Fields
Also, they had a great coach, it was Urban during Fields time? Watched Urban, on a pre-game show prior to PSU game, Urban was explaining OL play, fascinating, doesn't matter whether you like Urban, conclusion, Urban knows football.Hard to judge Ohio State QB’s they play with such great receivers.
Sorry Spin but the Steelers stink. And make that 24-3
Mistake--notice his frustration throughout the game and he already is getting uncomfortable in the pocket. The decision to start his during this four game stretch is one of the dumbest decisions that any coach has ever made with a young QB.Pickett... learning or a mistake?
Lost faith years ago in both Tomlin and the Rooneys.Sorry Spin but the Steelers stink.
Tony Romo was very high on Pickett. Watched him I practice said he will be a very good QB for years.Mistake--notice his frustration throughout the game and he already is getting uncomfortable in the pocket. I'm not saying Pickett can't be good but don't we hear that about pretty much every young QB?Tony Romo was very high on Pickett. Watched him I practice said he will be a very good QB for years.
I do agree that playing him now with those teams coming up and that o line is not smart and could damage his development.
Yeah, I always thought if they weren’t going to start him from day one, they should bring him in after the bye week or at least after this four-game stretch is over. Couple that with Canada’s play calling and they have not set him up for success.I'm not saying Pickett can't be good but don't we hear that about pretty much every young QB?
To me, and I may be alone, the most important thing in 2022 (especially the moment TJ got hurt) was Kenny's development and it was handled horribly
Yeah, we had the same thoughtYeah, I always thought if they weren’t going to start him from day one, they should bring him in after the bye week or at least after this four-game stretch is over. Couple that with Canada’s play calling and they have not set him up for success.
Regardless, I liked what I saw today, though. The decisiveness was there and had some good touch passes. A couple mistakes (missed screen pass on opposite side of field, INT) but Buffalo is legit.
All of this. The best possible thing would be to get the first or second overall pick and move it for a team desperate for a QBHopefully Steelers draft in the top 6 in 2023 and Tomlin resigns.
They can then trade down and begin the rebuild.
