Steelers may limp into the playoffs, but they are soooo bad.

I guess those two things are more or less mutually exclusive, but they're a mess.

They're trying to run the ball, even a little, and it is simply the same as saying "OK, let's just call it 3rd and 7 after each first down and we'll go from there".

The only way the Steelers win this game is if the defense creates a score or two. Ben's playing horribly against a JV secondary.

While I don’t think this team belongs in the playoffs, they’re not any worse than the teams they’re jockeying for position with and of course I’d cheer for them.

If the defense were to play to potential they would be a difficult team to face in the playoffs but I just don’t see enough consistency.

Question: If Baltimore beats Pitt and Indy loses to Jax (Good Lord), is Baltimore in ?

Defense is getting tired, for the 2nd game in a row Steelers going against a team with a patchwork secondary and just can’t throw the ball at all.

Stillers look incapable of winning this game at this point. Regardless, there is no way they beat KC whenever they would play them (nor any of the other playoff teams on the road except maybe the LA Chargers or Raiders). KC though totally has their number.

Matt Canada has to be worst coordinator in NFL.
I don’t know if it’s just him. Ben looks slow with some very questionable decision making. The running backs don’t fight for yardage often. If you take away the dump off pass the Steelers passing offense is pretty much nonexistent. (And just like that Ben finally throws a 20 yard pass ;)).

I’d love to see both the Eagles and Steelers in the playoffs but neither is making it past wildcard weekend.

Our boy, Freiermuth is looking good.

Refs really helping Baltimore.

Clearly a hit to the head on McCloud.

I am so excited to see Friermuth continue to grow and to able to root for him once Rapelisberger retires.

Do the Chargers and Raiders now collude for a tie so they both get in to screw the Stillers?

I don't care how they get in there, it's another game for Big Ben!!!

Any word on the injury to Harris?

The Chargers and Raiders should agree to end the game in a tie. Steelers at Kansas City won't be pretty.

I don’t think it is serious as he had some great runs in the fourth quarter and OT.
Crap, didn't know he came back in. We missed the 4th quarter and beginning of OT due to a trip to Home Depot, when we got back the NY station had switched to the Jets game. So we had to follow it online.

Steelers played arguably the hardest scheduled and in a brutal division. Not like they play on the nfc least for goodness sake . They do have issues but they made it!!

That is it. Canada is the oc and still thinks he is In the acc. We also have butler that psu let go because he sucked. Dear lord tomlin and Franklin could be twins with their game style and coaching. Couldn’t believe tomlin called that timeout instead of letting ravens call there’s.

if Ben does retire then tomlin will not have a winning season next year, if he was smart he would take 2 offensive lineman this year with first two picks and then next year after having a losing record take a qb. No great qb coming out this year .

So many needs. OL for sure, a good coverage CB, interior D-Line, and some kind of gameplan at QB.

First round of games next weekend will be weak. The 3 Division winners will romp. NE might put a fight but no one else in the AFC. Same in the NFC although Dallas vs. Az should entertain. The regular season is too long and just decimates teams. It makes for wonderful drama in the end but the playoffs are really for the 8 divisional winners.

Once again, never invite a wet-blanket to a bonfire!

Steeler fans can celebrate!!

:) o_O ;) o_O :)

IMO if they can keep the secondary in decent shape and bring in a halfway decent QB, they will be at least .500 next year. They’ll also get an easier schedule. I don’t think there’s any way they get lightning to strike twice and draft a QB who played like Ben his first season - I have to also remember that team was only a QB away from being Super Bowl ready and Ben was that QB.

The need to learn from the giants if tomlin is that smart. Don’t take qb and rb before you have offensive lineman. Giants are still paying for that decision.
