So what I'm hearing on this post is....Iowa people are generally nice if your in Ames otherwise they suck out loud. Turk didn't serve for this country but has helped improve this country and there's nothing wrong with working in fast food lol. Alrighty then who is wrestling this weekend oh and Iowa sucks

No. Ames is a Much nicer town. Iowa shitty is a crappy run down town filled with very rough looking houses. The streets are terrible. It looks like a little detroit. Ames is much nicer as far as roads, houses, food, recreation, crime, and most of all people.
I personally have never been to either, but have been to Cedar Rapids.
Something tells me all 3 look very similar to the outsider, but appear incredibly different to the people who call them home.

I can't comment on Ames but I've been to Iowa City and Cedar Rapids half a dozen times for wrestling related events over the last 20 years, starting with NCAAs in 2001. While I have no doubt there are rough spots I completely disagree that it's a crappy run down town, enjoyed myself there every time. Good people, plenty to do...

Been thru Iowa as a teenager going to Omaha. All looked the same to me. Asked my dad why would anyone want to live there with hardly any woods and no mountains.

Interstate 80 is hardly representative of the state.

Both Ames and Iowa City are top 5 cities in Iowa. To think either is a bad place only makes the entire state look bad.

Of course thought the same shortly after we drove into Ohio all the way to Omaha. Yyes crabs know friends who go out hunting in i believe north western Iowa and say its much different. But to me there is no nice city, they all have an odor and to many people.

Never once claimed to serve our country in the military. All that was made up here, overplayed and frankly disrespectful to those that have served. Another example of an abused repeat joke here used for cheap "likes". The median age is like 57 here so I know the lame repetitive jokes will never end, it will only get worse as dementia and time settles in ;)

Now back to Suriano-

I resemble that remark. 😆

So Michigan it is then? I think he goes 133 but who knows.
Rageson is a pretty solid 133. Suriano at 125 makes a lot more sense team title hopes wise and for Suriano’s narcissism. Michigan is darn good. Both Amines, Brucki, Paris, Micic. I look forward to that dual. Wrestlestat now has us losing with Suriano at 125. I think we win…but it should be darn entertaining.

Kinda like the Pennsylvania fansdid to Spencer his Senior year

What are you talking about? Do you mean at nationals last year? You might want to check who was allowed in as fans. Just coaches, officials, wrestlers and their families. That meant more Iowa folks than any other fanbase.

I don't recall him being boo'd but if he was, it would have been for no stall calls. If you're too injured to wrestle but stay in the match anyway (but stop wrestling), then stalling should be called.

Pretty sure this is ye olde “Spencer was booed in Hershey because he committed to Iowa” narrative. We should ask our favorite well educated UNI fan what he thinks.

Yes, it's that tired trope.

Meanwhile, I don't recall DeSanto's HS assistant coach flopping on the mat to mock Lee's injury, like Ferentz's special teams coach did.
I'd have to rewatch the match but I don't remember Lee's coaches throwing a chair onto the mat after the loss like Cael did.

Well Michigan doesn’t have a dual with Iowa, so we’ll miss out on the Suriano vs Ybarra matchup.

I suspect Suriano doesn't want to see Spencer more than twice anyway. It will be interesting to see if it happens even twice (injury, ducking), but the Big10 match will be the most anticipated match in a long time.

Let us just say you can see the conduct of the two fan bases and they are distinctly different. We already know from experience that Iowa City is more dangerous than Iran. If I owned iowa shitty and hell I would live in hell and hope to find a sucker to rent iowa shitty.
Nice Sheridan quote. IC is king however.
