Are we seriously going to debate coaches behavior at matches/tournaments?

Yep, comparing one chair throw in an international competition to the Brands constant yammering, running around, and even touching officials is hilarious.

I'd have to rewatch the match but I don't remember Lee's coaches throwing a chair onto the mat after the loss like Cael did.
LOL, trying to get into a coaching maturity debate as a means of moving the goalposts.

Good lord not everything has to be a debate. You made a joke about the football coach, I made a joke about Cael. Everyone knows the Brands are more bombastic, loud, angry, <insert 100 other adjectives here> than Cael.

Comparing Cael being upset and throwing a chair over bad officiating to a coach mocking player injuries is a bad look, maybe reconsider your internetting....

Back on point. How does this affect the national team race? Does this move Michigan into the top 3? Does this affect Hildebrand and how so if it does? Just asking..

1. Maybe, 3rd likely between Michigan and OKST. If they can talk Massa into returning, then likely yes.

2. It would push Hildebrandt down 1-2 seeds at B10s, and possibly more than that for NCAA seeds (depending on his B10 placement).

If Hildebrandt finishes lower at NCAAs, that would very likely be offset if Lee doesn't win the title. It might also be offset if Lee wins the title but scores less bonus -- he didn't bonus Suriano when healthy, and he'd also have to beat Glory or Arujau.

Thank you. This board is refreshing in that if you ask a question you get an answer. Believe it or not in today's world that's rare on message boards for sports.

Does anyone else wonder if Spencer is maybe not wrestling at all this year? Why would you pull the redshirt on a high level freshman if you thought he wasn't going to wrestle in the postseason?

I thought it was dumb to pull his shirt during the Opens, but much less so now during duals. They have Ayala shirting now at 125 and Jesuroga arriving Fall 2023. Schriever is shirting at 133. If he's good enough to beat out Cashman now, then this might be his best shot at starting.

Plus he might have told them he's not staying for 6 years, in which case what's the point in shirting?

I've wondered it here and I've wondered it on HR. Some on HR also wonder. Others seem to prefer to remain in denial of the possibility.

This is eerily similar to the Lee/Teasdale/Renteria/Mejia logjam about 5-6 years ago. Only one wound up contributing at Iowa.

One other point about Suriano going to Michigan that seems to have been missed. He gets the opportunity to be coached by one of the GOAT lightweights ever - Sergei Beloglazov. If Suriano still has any freestyle goals, he's in a really good place.

Yeah then he'll be able to get over the NaTo hurdle and his Dad will sleep better.
