Suriano

1. Cael did not say "Suriano will be 100%".

I'm listening to the stream now - Cael actually said "He is wrestling. He could have wrestled at Big Tens. Our job is to get him as close to 100% as possible."

However, Cael sounded very hopeful.

2. This 21 Duds "8 scorers" mantra is bullshit... You do realize if Gulibon goes 2-2 without bonus (or Suriano) that a total of 2 team points.

That whole Gulibon output (1 + 1 + 0 + 0) would be less than if Nevills pins his first round opponent (1 + 2 = 3).

I would tell you "Hey, don't focus on this 8 point scorers" thing, but you have proven that your skull is made of 3" thick cast iron and nothing can penetrate it.

A score of 115 seems like it would do it. Three in finals two champs with their ave bonus is say 4 per so 2 champs and 1 runner up 16+16+12 is 44 placement 12 advancement and 12 bonus equals 68 Neviles (4) Hall (5), Joseph (3) wrestle to,seed it is 26 placement and est 12 for advancement I expect 10 bonus from those three so That equals is 116 with no points form McCutcheon, Suriano nor Jimmy which is not going to happen. So IMO we can win with 6 yes 6 place winners wrestling to seed. More on OSU points later.

Ah, lighten up, man! Where's your unabashed homer-ism?! All the other podcasts are doing it!
I'm protecting myself from heartbreak. Also, I have to play the straight man while Garrett goes unabashed homer haha

miracles do happen, you know! Amazing how they talk up OSU, but recruit for you:confused:

I don't hate them for promoting the Pokies. It's their own property. I don't tune into MASN to hear Bob Carpenter and F.P. Santangelo talk about how awesome Palcido Polanco is.

He is very unlikely to be 100%, HOWEVER... I do absolutely think he is cleared and will be wrestling.. Was at the show last night and it didn't seem to be coach speak or any other ploy on Cael's part.. I was surprised to be honest he came right out and said what he said as confidently as he said it.. We will no more next Thursday of course but it did convince me that Nick would be medically ready to go..

0-2 is certainly possible but I feel pretty good about Nick at this point.. I think he will win some matches.. will he finish as high as he would have with no injury? probably not but 0-2 seems a bit dramatic unless the ankle is really still pretty bad off in which case I have to wonder if Cael would even throw him out there..

I agree with that, although it does say to me that he wasn't, at that time, not anywhere close to 100%. Not trying to argue, just wondering.
I will continue to Trust In Spyker, that Suriano was 112% for BIGs, but faked the limp to be able to Injury Default out. I'm guessing this is part of a major psych-out plan by Cael/Nick/Spyke, so when he steps on the mat Thursday............BAM.........Gilman will break just seeing Nick on the adjacent mat at 142% (improvement from last Friday until next Thursday). With that, I believe that gives us 13 scoring wrestlers, by our New Math

I wonder how they predicted Burroughs to do at Worlds a couple years ago with a broken ankle.

Or, if they had been around then, how they would've predicted Kurt Angle to do at the Olympics with a broken neck.

Point is, they don't know any more than anyone else. Cael and Nick have this under lockdown. We'd have better luck prying state secrets from a 4-star.
