Harsh words from a guy whose school has been paying Harbaugh $10 million a year for four years now with nothing but a participation trophy in return.Chicken feed compared to what USC will offer scumbag Meyer in the next year or two.
And that doesn't even count the players' pay. This is nearing the crazy stage, how much money do they have? $9 mil a year for Dabo, another $8 mil a year for his assistants, $2 or $3 mil for players a year, $ 175.00 a year for wax on the slide.
Jim has UM in position for a strong NC/Playoff run over the next few years. He finally has all of the players he recruited in place.Harsh words from a guy whose school has been paying Harbaugh $10 million a year for four years now with nothing but a participation trophy in return.

Well, let's just slot him into the playoffs right now then.Jim has UM in position for a strong NC/Playoff run over the next few years. He finally has all of the players he recruited in place.
Why should Meyer make more money than Dabo he's 0-2 against Dabo?Chicken feed compared to what USC will offer scumbag Meyer in the next year or two.
He shouldn't but USC will sell their souls to get back to being a perennial powerhouseWhy should Meyer make more money than Dabo he's 0-2 against Dabo?
Reading comprehension apparently isn’t your strong point. I commented on UM’s present ROI on the tens of millions already spent on Jimmy the great savior. Frankly every year in recent History UM is primed in the press for a preseason BIG championship, a playoff spot and a National championship. Then oops reality enters the equation. There’s absolutely no reason to believe this year will be any different. But you just stay happy and believe in fairy tails, that’s what makes the World go round.Jim has UM in position for a strong NC/Playoff run over the next few years. Somebody shut the door, Dumb and Dumber are speaking to each other. He shouldn't but USC will sell their souls to get back to being a perennial powerhouse
Well, the national media will.Well, let's just slot him into the playoffs right now then.
Actually this is a simple accounting adjustment. They will simply move $2 or $3 million from the players automobile repair and painting account into Saban’s payroll account. This is not going to go over well in Tuscaloosa. I was under the impression that no college football coach was allowed to earn more than Nick Saban? Alabama donors better sweeten that contract before Saban announces retirement.
And that doesn't even count the players' pay.
Sorry, missed it, though that might be an underestimate.Um, yes it does, he said "$2 or $3 mil for players a year"
Whoever it was that first described this as an arms race nailed it.
And did you notice the part near the end where they said that three of Clemson's assistants will more than the combined total of all assistants at all but 18 of the 126 other 1A schools? Geesh! I bet the assistants at other schools love that because it just raised their market value.
ETA: I wonder how they can talk about ALL other 1A programs since I assume the private schools can keep their pay scales private.
Thank y’all, how I computed that total was as follows. To enhance competition only starters receive a salary. $3 million divided by 22 ( kickers don’t factor in until their fourth year ) I would say their senior year, but that would foolishly assume they attend class. Thus it’s just North $136 thousand a year, plus your car and gas allowance, entertainment allowance, bail fund and child support payments allowance. At $2 million it’s still over $90 thousand a year plus benefits.Um, yes it does, he said "$2 or $3 mil for players a year"

And the best he did was when he had the least amount of players he recruited.Reading comprehension apparently isn’t your strong point. And where is he today?? Training Falcons??Of the private schools, only two are in the realm of possibility, Notre Dame and USC, and neither are there. ND might have been close before it fired Van Gorder and his $1.2mm price tag.
YupJust my opinion but CJF needs some of these guys to stick around and not leave so early.
And yet we are the ones with the culture problem.
I hope the day comes where CJF "earns" this type of contract through his results!
absurd- USC has no soulHe shouldn't but USC will sell their souls to get back to being a perennial powerhouse
