This is nearing the crazy stage, how much money do they have? $9 mil a year for Dabo, another $8 mil a year for his assistants, $2 or $3 mil for players a year, $ 175.00 a year for wax on the slide.

And did you notice the part near the end where they said that three of Clemson's assistants will more than the combined total of all assistants at all but 18 of the 126 other 1A schools? Geesh! I bet the assistants at other schools love that because it just raised their market value.
ETA: I wonder how they can talk about ALL other 1A programs since I assume the private schools can keep their pay scales private.

Harsh words from a guy whose school has been paying Harbaugh $10 million a year for four years now with nothing but a participation trophy in return.

Reading comprehension apparently isn’t your strong point. I commented on UM’s present ROI on the tens of millions already spent on Jimmy the great savior. Frankly every year in recent History UM is primed in the press for a preseason BIG championship, a playoff spot and a National championship. Then oops reality enters the equation. There’s absolutely no reason to believe this year will be any different. But you just stay happy and believe in fairy tails, that’s what makes the World go round.

Actually this is a simple accounting adjustment. They will simply move $2 or $3 million from the players automobile repair and painting account into Saban’s payroll account.
Remember when Joe made $500K a year and it took a FOIA request to get that information? Because he felt his salary was not something he felt like sharing with the rest of the world?
Thank y’all, how I computed that total was as follows. To enhance competition only starters receive a salary. $3 million divided by 22 ( kickers don’t factor in until their fourth year ) I would say their senior year, but that would foolishly assume they attend class. Thus it’s just North $136 thousand a year, plus your car and gas allowance, entertainment allowance, bail fund and child support payments allowance. At $2 million it’s still over $90 thousand a year plus benefits.
Unfortunately the plan doesn’t provide any psychological support or job training for those players who fail to get drafted and must face a significant pay cut when their eligibility expires. However, these players if they desire are allowed to legally change their names and enroll at Auburn as freshmen.

USC IMHO will/has to do something big.... They are starting to feel the pressure of Chip Kelly at UCLA. Last thing 'SC wants is the Chipster making UCLA a powerhouse and 'SC stays a mediocre .500 team. Kelly will get UCLA turned around and USC is going to have a battle on their hands with Kelly/UCLA every year.
Nope. Saban's contract has to be greater than the three highest paid SEC coaches or the five highest paid NCAA coaches, whichever is greater.
And the best he did was when he had the least amount of players he recruited.
I hope the day comes where CJF "earns" this type of contract through his results!
