The column that Rossi wrote in the Trib. after the Pitt game was really over the top blasting Penn State and Franklin while praising Narduzzi. He said no recruit should consider PSU over Pitt.

Anything bad that Rossi says about PSU, is good for us. Trust me. In this town, he is widely ridiculed.
Mueller had said things in the past that he saw first hand our culture problem. He is a SOB and has stated he is a Pitt fan.
He is a total prick. It's like he has a bone to pick. Nardogg could say the same crap and they would be worshiping him for wearing his heart on his sleeve.
The Fan is simply not a very good station. There was the line in Major League when Bob Uker got chided for saying "God Damn" on the air and his response was "who cares, nobody is listening anyway." That's what this situation is like.
Your IQ drops in direct proportion to the time you are tuned into The Fan. They forever don't want any healing of any kind in Nittany Nation and this is why it is a topic. They lost their "Franklin doesn't have a signature win" mantra and they are all butt hurt over it.
I live in the Pittsburgh area and never listen to that station. It's not worth the aggravation.
I'm a Pitt fan and I can't really stand to listen to the fan much. Joe Starkey and Paul Zeise are good, as is Pomp's weekend show, but most of the rest is hard to listen to. There are a number of agitators (Dunlap, Filliponi, Cook, sometimes Mueller) who just aim to stir the pot. As much as you may think the Fan is anti-PSU, they also have a number of guys (namely Cook and Filliponi) who dislike Pitt as well.
Colon Dunlap and Chris Mueller (a Penn Stater of the same breed as Sara Ganim) are two morons that should not have jobs. The station used to be decent, but now it is all commercials and fourth tier hosts.
Hmmm. I don't live there so I don't hear them, but I wonder how they'll feel after we drop Pitt by 30 next season? Book it.

As much as a I hate Notre Dame, we really have to get in the same kind of mindset their fans probably have. Just take the criticism and keep on going. Most of this dumb chatter is above recruit's heads anyway, they aren't listening to that crap. We had like 150 recruits at that game Saturday night, couldn't have given them a better experience. They aren't worried about that bullshiat.
Book it, dude. And when it happens I'll explain why it happened to you. But for now, think for yourself and see if you can figure it out. Maybe it'll only be by 28. You know, 4 TDs better than Pitt.

I am close to a bunch of the hardest core of the hardest core of Penguin fans on another message board, and they LOATHE Rob Rossi. They hate him with unbridled passion and blast that guy DAILY.
I used to listen daily until Chris Mueller compared JVP to Hitler. I mean, what kind of delusional moron does that? I did turn it on briefly on Saturday just in time for Pompeani to proclaim everyone should bet the house on tOSU because the spread was only 20!
I am surprised anyone listens to commercial radio. I assumed everyone had moved over to Satellite.

I can only assume that Mueller got beat up in the locker room at Rec Hall on a regular basis. His hatred for his alma mater is so intense, you wonder why he just didn't get the **** up and leave. He must be a pathetic little weasel to stay for 4 years at a place he hates so much.

PSU was the better team when they played, they handed the game to Pitt twice in the final 2:00. PSU is young and obviously improving.
I don't listen to any sports or political talk shows. Too many people making money in this country talking and not doing. Their job isn't to inform it is to get enough ears to listen to sell beer, soda, prescription drugs and soap. I had a very good friend accompany one of this year's candidates to his Fox interview in NY. When the candidate complained about all their coverage of Donald Trump and its benefit to him, they simply told him it was great for ratings. True story.
I'd also bet on some extremely embarrassing episodes with a woman or two. Something mentally scarring that he never got over.
Chris Mueller is a drunk. He goes to Fatheads to watch the Steeler game, gets too drunk to even remember what happened, then talks about it the next day
The only time PSU is mentioned is when it's somehow related to Sandusky/Paterno/culture. They don't actually cover the team even though they will say so when criticized for only negative coverage.
The Fan has good ratings so not sure your post is actually related. Bottom line is there is not a lot of talent on that station. Ron Cook is generally pro Penn St and pro Big10. He went to Northwestern. He blasts Pitt as much as he can. Then the listeners go crazy. Actually funny!
How anyone sees PSU as being 4 TD better than Pitt is beyond me. Even when you guys were ranked 2nd in 99 our lousy team still came into your house and almost beat you. I expect another close one, hoping we can come away with another win. In any event, glad we are playing again and both programs are on the upswing.
Better team? If we had any semblance of a secondary and our passing game had been on target, the game would have been over by halftime. Pitt did a pretty good job of trying to hand PSU the game in the second half as well.
So you are saying that your senior laden team would be better if you didn't suck in certain areas? Brilliant! At best Pitt has been stagnant this year, and will be losing their best players next season... how is that an upswing?
Pitt didn't hand PSU the game, PSU took over. Handing the game to the other team is dropping the game winning TD, and throwing a pick on second down while in FG range.

I know it's outrageous from a spread point of view. I simply feel Penn State will kick Pitt's ass all the way back to Oakland next season. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
