The Ferrari Family Circus

I agree with the underlying Brands/lunacy premise, but the John Smith example doesn't really support it. Smith faced a VERY different situation -- an active member of his team arrested on sexual battery charges perpetrated against another university student. No coach or AD in the nation could have chosen NOT to kick him off the team, including Brands.
You're SURE about that?

BEG on the AD said No to AJ

You should probably have Wayne Beaver look into Anthony's past before he praises him in the future. He may find gun issues, assault charges, and a knife fight in his recent past. He may also find that Anthony was just recently released from probation. But, he's a "good" kid. Ha HA.

Speaking of trash, after the hits just keep coming and coming, there are maybe three guys left sticking up for AJ over on GIA.

Libertylover, some other Einstein that I can't recall his handle right now, and Corby.

He's doubling down on the innocent until proven guilty over there right now and tacitly supporting the victim blaming posts, while completely ignoring the misogynistic statements, the sexually harassing DMs and the porn that have been posted online. In addition to all his antics which scream Cluster B personality disorder.

Takes a special guy. I love the wrestling community and we have a ton of men of character in it forged in part by the sport, but we also have way too many scumbags.

Don't forget about posting his butthole on social media. No coming back from that.

Like I said, he’s a dirtball. But it’s no skin off his back if, next time, AJ presses his luck once more and assaults another girl - a girl who decides to take the case all the way no matter what.

I wonder how the women in Corby’s life feel about his stance?

Fast forward to now with all criminal charges dismissed. If the schools were reversed and Ferrari had been sent packing from Iowa and was trying to get on at Okie State would Smith take a chance on him? Maybe.

Perhaps all the other Ferrari drama would be enough to dissuade Smith regardless. But coaches do like a good redemption story, especially if it boosts a flagging program and improves odds of bringing home some hardware from Nationals.
I believe Smith kicked AJ off the team prior to the sex assault charges. I am not 100% on that also possible Smith received a heads up regarding the assault.

Ferrari's (alleged) victim had filed a restraining order a week before Smith booted Ferrari. The Stilly PD also had an active investigation at the time.

Smith might have been tipped off about charges being imminent.

Twooooooo points to make.

To me the BMW video was simply desperation probably knowing the AD would not approve.

The recent interview simply solidified that AJ is who most of us thought he is- a piece of human garbage.

Lets hope he dries up and blows away because he is not worth our energy or discussion.

It was a lot more than accused of theft, wouldn't you say?
Yes -- but Gross got booted when the DA filed charges, not when he pled out.

That's also not the point. The point was that it's hard to pre-suppose without evidence that Brands wouldn't kick someone off the team for sexual battery, when there is actual evidence of him doing so for a far less serious accusation.

We won't get any direct soundbites from Tom on AJ as he isn't allowed. I'm sure he will tell some reporters off the record and be labeled as "sources close to the team" @vhsalum is very credible and his nugget has been collaborated by a few others, AJ won't be wrestling for Iowa this year, best case scenario is next year assuming he stays out of trouble for a few months so likely never.

IMO, the longer this drags on the better. It is the train wreck I can't stop watching.

And in all this hullabaloo to salvage the crown jewel of their recruiting class this year (the youngest Jabroni), we’re probably going to have a guy that will beat his ass anyway - Zack Ryder
Isnt J3 more of a 57/65 guy? I know he’s had some scraps with Sealey anyway.

Corroborated 🙂

The fact that he's still allowed in the weight/wrestling room is hilarious.

Angelo is projected at 174. He wrestled 170 last year. Maybe 165 is doable? 157 is not.
This is a problem. Gabe is entrenched at 174 and altars to be a career guy there since he said he’s too short for 184. Caliendo and PK are both also 65/74 guys who probably can’t go down. After this season, their 4 best wrestlers will all be crammed into 2 weight classes. They’ve successfully created a logjam as bad as Penn State’s at those classes but without anyone at any other class. LMAO.

Lots of possible goings-on there. One is: we only know when it was posted, not when it was filmed.

Another: weight rooms aren't exactly Ft. Knox -- somebody else (likely Fredo) probably let him in, and it was either unguarded or monitored by a student. Either someone else was there to film it, or he brought in a tripod room which probably wouldn't be allowed by actual uniformed security.

Off-the-mat family issues aside: Angelo is good enough that you get him and worry about the rest later.

Especially if he is being funded by single mothers' rents.

Their inability to fill the rest of the lineup is a separate issue.

OTOH, the flirtation with AJ continues and Tom has not shut the door on the subject. Brands is in deeper desperation these days.

Best upper-middleweight room in the country!

Yeah, I agree because of the quality of wrestler Angelo is, but it’s just ironic that they have 4 AA caliber guys for 2 weights and almost no one anywhere else. It’s like the ONLY recruiting they can successfully do is recruit over the guys they have.
