Based on the outcome of the dual Iowa fans may not agree but I was extremely impressed with the way Iowa wrestled tonight. They were aggressive and attacking at every weight. The loss of Stoll really hurts and maybe even ends their chances of a team title this season but their young kids look good and it looks like Brands is trying to follow Cael's game plan of constantly moving forward and scoring points. This is great for college wrestling. I hope other teams follow this example.

I don't think it's anything "new and improved", but rather potential being realized. They were on all cylinders at most weights, wrestled tough matches.

I wouldn't say every weight. But definitely more than normal over the last 6 years

Sure seemed like it tonight, but come on, it was at CHA. One week ago not so much. We'll see in March.

If Iowa improved into a 26-11 drubbing at HOME... what say you on improving over a 5th place finish last year or consecutive 4th place finish at Nationals?

They got more than doubled on the scoreboard and doubled in the takedown count by a much younger team. I must have watched a completely different dual. Looked like the same defensive/counter style to me. I don't even hate that style, but it is the general style Iowa wrestles. Tough, physical wrestling and giving nothing easy. That hasn't changed imo. They have always been tough to beat especially in Carver.
