The nice thing for Pitt fans is that it's easy to meet low expectations....

Everytime you think...that they are worthy of respect, that they care far more about us than their own team, that they don't just know and feel and live everyday like our little brother....

I never think any of that. They just continue to confirm all I already know about them.

Everytime you think they can't go lower, that they are worthy of respect, that they care far more about us than their own team, that they don't just know and feel and live everyday like our little brother....

Think we need to have some thicker skin here. PSU has made up t-shirts after big wins before.....no big deal with this stuff.

The fact that Pitt would rather have this win over PSU and their Pinstripe Bowl game vs. 6-6 Northwestern says a lot. Back before this game was played there was more or less a uniform opinion among the PSU faithful that losing to Pitt was no big deal if we rebounded against the meat of the schedule and got to 9 or 10 wins. Fast forward and we're at 11 wins, champs of the best conference, ranked 5th in the nation and playing a top 10 team in the Rose Bowl.

Meanwhile, the one area Pitt needed the PSU win to impact most was recruiting the head to head battles with PSU. That hope was smashed with a sledgehammer....but at least they have a cheap t-shirt to show for it.

Everytime I see 42-39 I think of the great turnaround season PSU had in winning the B10 Title and Rose Bowl berth against all odds. Great times!
Every time I see it, I think the of multiple opportunities that PSU had to win that game in the final 2 minutes, and how truly lucky Pitt was to steal that win from PSU.

Let them have it, it's truly all they have in life, and have 3 beat downs on the way.

What losers. That would be like us wanting a shirt regarding our win over say Ohio State or Wisconsin. It is one game. I would be embarrassed to wear that. That kind of shirt should be reserved for something like a FCS team beating a team...say like when Appy State beat UM....oh wait...maybe that shirt is appropriate after all.

Judge, can you put your head-to-head recruiting summary on a t-shirt?

Haha, really small font?

How many times must Penn State "hoo-miliate" Pitt, for them to realize they're worthless?

This recruiting disparity will continue as long as PSU has years like this. Even the year PSU received NCAA sanctions, we didn't clean up in recruiting. We got Johnson, Boyd, Holtz and maybe a few others. What really is happening is Narduzzi is going
outside of PA for our top recruits...we will still get a few top PA players like Ford this year, but PSU will get most of em. Whereas you are bringing in 4star players with a few 3starplayers, Pitt is getting mostly 3star players with a few 4star players. At this point, that's not all so bad given Pitt's recent "turnstile" coaching scenario.
Two years of 8-4 ain't so bad. If you want to call it low expectations...that's ok by me.
Contrary to what you think, our 'lower" rated players can play, and play pretty well.
One example, Henderson a CONCENSUS All American as a soph. He had decent
offers out of h.s. (not from PSU of course). I'm not saying all of our recruits are a "Henderson."As long as we continue to get our recruits to play as they've done the past few years we'll continue to do well. You guys act like Pitt is a "dumpster" of a program and are getting terrible players. As far as next year...I never make predictions. I didn't
this past year when we were favored by 3.5 pts. You guys are expecting a 30,40 pt win...let's see what happens. Pitt will come to play and be competitive, and your more rational posters know it.

Add another National Championship to the total....

I can guarantee if we had of won we would NEVER have a shirt printed especially when it was a close win and came down to the end - this is the poster child for little brother syndrome. What a group of losers. I hope they fun in the Pinstripe Bowl - it was a good Bowl for us when we were still recovering from sanctions - whats their excuse?, the best they could do I guess.

But none of those Pitt Stop offers to PSU verbals were "committable" offers. ;)

I'm pretty rational and I still think 42-17 Penn State next year.

We did not give them the game and the stats show that. We do we talk about them all the time?
A new member with Joe and knew in his handle and supporting Pitt but using "we"....hmm, wonder what we have here.

Hey, pitter. Instead of posting fraudulent messages on our board, why don't you get a brush, a bucket of soapy water, and go spend some time cleaning the soot off the Cathedral of Learning.

Haha, funny line, but they've actually done that.

Yea, a few years ago they bilked the Pa. Taxpayers to pay a company to clean the soot off their albatross of a building. I drove by there a few days ago and it is already disgustingly dirty again. Oakland is a pigpen. I don't understand how any college student could stand to live there.

Yes, the taxpayers of Pa cleaned that shithouse.
