thanks. I give JonZ major kudos. It's a PITA to post scores in a way that is useful for those that can't watch the match. I did my best, while also trying to enjoy the match
We have now beaten Pitt this school year in football, men's basketball, and women's volleyball. Time for win #4 on December 22 in women's basketball at Pitt.

They did hang in there. The announcers pointed out Pitt's share of the ACC WVB title was only the second team championship in any sport since Pitt joined the conference. No idea what the other one was.
I think the overall tourney is tougher than it used to be. Several ranked teams lost in round two. Right now ,Northern Iowa is giving Minnesota all it can handle.

Northern Iowa beat Nebraska earlier this year so they are for real.
As much as I hate everything pitt, I have to say their women's volleyball team played with a lot of pluck. We had more talent everywhere but pitt didn't quit. Admirable.
Pitt came to play and the plan to swing away worked for the first two sets as PSU only had 3 team blocks in those two sets. Markovic of Pitt was having her way. In the 3rd set PSU had 5 blocks alone and started to take control of the match flow. Buskirk for Pitt however had a good match and if I heard right, she's only a freshman.
Please take this opportunity to remember that pitt is a volleyball school.
