As disappointing as the result, more I think about it, the more I compare it to the fake punt against USC. That daring move by Franklin propelled PSU into the playoffs. Franklin was hailed for the bold fake punt move, had the pass been complete, good chance PSU moves to kick the winning FG. Yes, the pass didn't work, INT lead to the loss. You can't have it both ways, praise for the fake punt, it was bold, outrage for the pass rather than playing for OT.

Singleton was open for a dump off pass on that play. Make one guy miss and it is a long gain. Allar was not seeing the entire field last night.

It's not daring to rely on a player for a big play who has sucked for three straight games.

It's stupid.

Wasn’t the fake punt against Minnesota?

He could have done any number of things including rolling to the right to extend the play while continuing to look downfield.... But instead, he sat in the pocket way too long making no decision.... then when a decision was forced upon him, because he sat there and didn't at least decide to roll away from pressure, the decision he made was the worst he possibly could make - throwing extremely late across the middle.

Drew needs to learn that you can't just sit there that long - had he rolled right after nothing was there, he at least would have pressured the LOS which may have opened something up - even if it doesn't, he can run and get OB or just throw it away OB if he wants to stop the clock (it was only a 1st Down play).

You can't just sit there and do nothing like that until protection breaks down.
