Yea, no doubt. Don't know what it is about this conference, but it's kind of similar to tO$U fans when they would made this claim in football after losing to PSU in 05 and 08. It's almost like this clown really thinks that Iowa has a legitimate claim to being the best in the conference relative to PSU because they have the same dual record, but didn't wrestle the same conference opponents (PSU wrestled the better Conference Dual Schedule) and didn't wrestle each other??? Bizarre freaking claim as the B1G and National Tourneys will make quite apparent.
Why aren't Penn State and Iowa scheduled to wrestle in a dual this year? Didn't Penn State agree to wrestle at Iowa City a year or two ago as a non-conference match? Shouldn't Iowa have returned the favor this year?
If I remember correctly, Iowa wrestled at PSU two years in a row (2011,2012) and PSU visited Iowa (2013) and in 2014, we weren't scheduled against each other. That's why PSU came to Iowa when it was decided we would wrestle.

I didn't have the privilege of being remotely alive in 1953. It bothers me... tremendously and wholeheartedly... when you're bothered about my signature line. And Chief... what was that bet you had with another Penn State poster? I want some of that action. I sent JoseyWales a Penn State wrestling tee shirt a few years back and he was kind enough to pose with Terry Brands while wearing it. Made for quite the buzz around here. JW was a man of his word. Where has he been? Haven't seen him post in quite some time.

December 2013 was at Iowa in a blizzard. They should make it a point to wrestle every year. Put it at a neutral place to grow the sport on the years the conference doesn't have them scheduled. I think it would draw a huge crown in Indianapolis, Kansas City, Cleveland, Nashville,etc. Both programs are at or near the top for the foreseeable future.

Here is a real cool article about the 1953 team who were the only team in the East to ever win a championship. Seems like Coach Speidel started recruiting brothers which was a novel idea at the time (something that Gable would do years later) and worked hard to develop relationships with high school coaches. In 1951-1953, they never lost a dual meet but couldn't seem to quite put it together until 1953 when the championship was held at Rec Hall. The 1953 was honored at the 2008 NCAA tourney.

And I'll take $100 at Big Ten's when they meet in the finals.... and $100 if they meet at Nationals... so it's not a one off situation.

I like this idea. Also non B1G event. Promote it to ESPN. Don't schedule any other duals. Get as much of wrestling community as possible to tune in
