This guy just committed to KY. Now he is going to visit?

Naw...it was done in a joking, light hearted manor. His son, BTW, now plays for one of the top flight catholic schools. I also have to say, now being older, I'd look out for my sons no matter what the coach said. If I am considered a "bad parent" for that, so be it. Many of these local HS coaches are idiots.
BIG difference between a high school coach and a 6th grade coach. Having coached 6th grade, I can tell you that arguing about what defense to run is really over the top. Hell, we were happy when the kids just lined up in the right place.

It was kind of a joke...he wasn't ranting and screaming on the sidelines..it was a friend of his and they were having a friendly discussion, so my BiL one-upped him by calling Bo.

Jeesh....you people can make a mountain out of a blade of grass.

Where did you see that he was visiting? I didn't read that in the article, but maybe I missed it.

I didn't see it in the article, either, but on his Rivals profile page it shows he has a visit to PSU scheduled for 13 Jan. I wonder if that may have been set up before he decided to verbal to UK, and will now be cancelled.

Judge, thanks for posting the initial info on this int he recruiting thread. This is pretty big if true. I wonder how PSU got into the picture, and why now?

PSU was interested in him early. He didn't have the same interest. The real question is
why is he now interested?

They are....when I first started coaching tackle football ;) at the high school level I attended a Defensive coaching clinic at Florida and the DC was Bob Stoops just before he left for Oklahoma...and really before the internet had been everyone's teacher ;) I learned a lot from his philosophy and concepts. Smart dude and he was young then....I also went to another coaching clinic at our alma mater I will remain silent on its key host.

So......I wonder what this visit means for our recruitment of Conliffe?

This thread reminds me a bit of the scene in The Catcher in the Rye, when the kid in the English class 'digresses' from his subject. All of the other kids shout out "digression". Maybe these sites need a "digression" icon.

We went from an interesting new visit, to Stoops to brothers-in-law to helicopter parenting to douchiness. I say digression!

BTW, the kid in question sounds like a heck of an athlete!

I've got to say, seems like a douchey move, whether joking or not. I know many guys that are "good guys" and douches at the same time.
I have older children. I will not interfere with the coaching at all. They have the job (high schools) or are willing to volunteer to do it while I have not, they can do as they wish as long as my kids are safe.
