Not just the writing either -- the cast was awesome. Rob Reiner made great casting choices.
Did you know Anjelica Huston is in the movie? She plays Polly Deutsch, the artist who delivers the 18 inch Stonehenge that they ordered by accident.
The scene of the 2 dwarves dancing around the 18 inch Stonehenge -- I came pretty close to dying of asphyxiation the first time I saw that.

It's a rare comedy that is consistently funny throughout. Reiner hits all the right notes. The Stonehenge bit, like tboyer says, is just one of the most ridiculously hysterical scenes you'll ever catch.Watched it for the first time last night on Netflix. Pure comedy gold!
"I think that the problem may have been, that there was a Stonehenge monument on the stage that was in danger of being crushed by a dwarf. Alright?"Not just the writing either -- the cast was awesome. Rob Reiner made great casting choices.

One of my favorite exchanges in the movie. I love how exasperated David St. Hubbins is when he responds to Derek Smalls' question. "No! We're not gonna f^*%ing do Stonehenge!"I have been known to torment my boss during conference calls or planning meetings, when the manager leading the meeting will ask, "any final questions?"
and I will hop in and say, "I raise a practical question at the point . . . are we going to do Stonehenge tomorrow?"
One of my finalist names for this board was Mick Shrimpton.Welcome to the family. The genius of the film is how closely it mirrors reality. I once registered for a local 10K or 5K (forget exactly) as David St. Hubbins of Pomona, CA and they printed it in the results.
I've used "there's a fine line between clever and stupid" in a work setting more times than I can count.I have been known to torment my boss during conference calls or planning meetings, when the manager leading the meeting will ask, "any final questions?"

First time I watched it was in the Forum as an undergrad in 86
I saw Deep Throat in The Forum circa 1975. Does that count?Possibly the first worthwhile event ever held there.

The Big Ten goes 3 better. It doesn't go to 11 like in Tap, it goes to 14!
You can see your face - on both sides. The question is how much more black could this be? And the answer is none, none more black.
