Agreed--but Clemson/SMU are about even. Boise State/ASU--meh--ASU doesn't have a defense so maybe Jeanty kills them. Hell both backs might run for 250 in that game

I can’t even watch football tonight. Last night was too soul crushing, and I never feel like that after a game. I’m over it, but watching more football so soon pours salt into the fresh wounds.

Both are absolute complete teams. Dominant defenses and elite talent on offense.

This was a low-scoring game because these defenses are a cut above anybody else in the country.

The WR room has multiple 3 and 4 star guys...and a 5 if we count Fleming. It's an epic fail all around that not one is worth crap. From the strength and conditioning program, to the position coaches teaching route running, to james's ability to find talent at that position, to literally whiff on a room of about a dozen guys is incredible.

Is there any way we could convert Reynolds to a "big WR". Could he play a role that Jurevicious played? He wouldn't be a burner but be a slot guy who is physical. Then we have Dinkins and Rappleyea as TEs

Franklin hasn't beaten an elite team since the Obama administration. Until he does so again, the easy money is on Franklin not beating either Texas or Ohio State on January 20th.

This is a different OSU team than the one that came to Happy Valley. And this Texas team is arguably the second best defense in the country with an offense with enough weapons to win the whole thing.

I'd imagine Texas would be 2 or 3 point favorites over us in such a matchup. OSU would be 7 or 8 point favorites.

Good lord. Anyone who’s complaining about Franklin going for the win has no clue. Let’s read the situation. Tie game, 1st and 10, need 40 yards for a FG attempt, 42 seconds left, 2 time outs, other team has 3 timeouts. With CFB clock rules, that’s time for a minimum 6 plays, probably more.

- Texas had the exact same situation, but ASU had 0 timeouts. They went for the win but missed the FG.
- Notre Dame had 3 timeouts left. If PSU just ran the ball and they didn’t get a first down, Notre Dame is calling timeouts to try and get the ball with 20-30 seconds left to try for their own game winning FG!

Franklin 100% made the right call to push for a winning FG. Calling a pass play was fine too. Allar made a low football IQ play by throwing late over the middle when situation called for him to just eat the ball if the play wasn’t there.

Chip and Sark are arguably the best and most experienced play callers in the game. I don’t disagree but I think AK is close and will be better next year.

I think he’s the best we’ve had in the Franklin era.

How about that Sark play call on second and goal from the one with the game on the line? Shotgun pitch back to the 9 and the play loses 7 yards. Stupid.

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't have done it. I still get the logic. The back didn't help things by continuing to go east west when it wasn't there.
