Agree 100%. Time's getting very short. But at the end of the day it'll happen because both sides want it to. Cael has said the staff feels "blessed to be here" and I suspect
the administration has no desire to lose the premier wrestling coach in the country when
he's in the process of putting together a program the like of which hasn't been seen since the Gable teams at Iowa, and could well surpass even them before it's all over.

Teasdale couldn't make 55kg (121) this past weekend, and attempting that cut may have knocked him out of the tournament completely.
Teasdale would never make 125 repeatedly for an entire college season - poor kid would collapse.

HR Verk thread, a few guys claiming the NLWC is overrated b/c (in their opinions) Nico and Frank and Zain and Jason and DT won't make the world team.
This is basically the last grasped straw of desperation. PSU won 6 of the last 7 national titles, has 5 national champs returning, has a monster recruiting class lined up, just flipped a world champ to walk on with no clear spot in the lineup ... but but but the NLWC is overrated.

That last straw was predicted here and by FRL. If medals start coming, it'll be suicide watch time.
PSU/NLWC had 8 guys place top 5 among Juniors and Seniors (freestyle) last weekend, plus a 9th - Manville - take a greco World Team spot.

2. OHST: 5, 1 champ (Pletcher, (plus 2 world golds sitting at home))
3. ASU: 6, 2 champs (JO, Zahid)
4. OKST: 5, 2 champs (Fix, Marsden)
5. MINN: 5, 2 champs (McKee, Steveson)
6. IOWA: 5, 0 champs
And here's a fun look back at senior freestyle rankings, after the 2009 world team trials. Shocking how different things are, not just from the undergrad schools represented, but the "club" teams in particular.

Nice to read that you boys are very happy and heck yes u should be.. All this domination by u r team will save me lots of money. Mom didn't raise no dumb boy here... When a team can 20 deep no way will I travel and spend around $1,200 dollars for hotel, tickets, and food.

There's my favorite fan base! The same group that doesn't stick around to recognize their team when they finish 2nd, 3rd, or 4th at Nationals.
Honestly, it took me three attempts to actually note the 'head butt' because it seemed so incidental. Appeared to me to be an intimidation move gone bad when he got too close. As for the second penalty, I didn't know that chest pumping and yelling to the crowd was taunting. Maybe it is in high school in MD. I really don't know.
