It’s hard to imagine how many guys we’ve lost from my unit since 2006. They are all amazing men, fathers, husbands, brothers, sons, and friends.

Scott was one of the best. Scott was an instructor of mine at different times and a colleague on a sister team at 2D Raider BN. He replaced my team in Iraq during the battle of Mosul and I was always impressed with his leadership. Hard, fair, serious all the time. But what I remember about Scott was he was a wrestler. A good wrestler. From a smaller town in Colorado he also wrestled in college. He joined the Marine Corps right after college and Marine Special Operations right after that. I NEVER met a person that knew Scott that didn’t completely admire his work ethic and leadership. Scott and I often talked about how wrestling gave us that. The edge over others, the drive to not fail. How wrestling is the epitome of life. How it gives you the ability to fail and fail and fail and then learn and grow from it. No one can take away anything from a wrestler. Scott lost his life leading Marines. It was on a night raid in Mosul leading the front. He was always leading from the front. Cheers to you Scott, we remember you today and always! Scott is survived by a wife, and two children.

HAPPY MEM DAY TO ALL MY BROTHERS IN ARMS AND THE HEROES THAT DIED WHILE DEFENDING OUR GREAT COUNTRY!
Happy? Memorial Day is not a day for joyous celebration. It is a day to remember and honor those who died in service to our country. Save the happy celebrations for Veterans Day.

Memorial Day is not about those that made it home. Once again, that would be Veterans Day.
Go pontificate elsewhere. I posted the message and I’m 💯 fine with what @tullfan68 said. Anyone who has a problem with the language over the actual sentiment of the message is just trying to be “right”! The message on this post has no Ill intent. And you come here to pick an argument? Why? You can see no one liked your message for a reason right ? Because no one agrees with you! Shame on you man!
