Amateur Wrestling News joined the party this week. Associated Wrestling Press reverted to their pattern of last year of inconsistency of posting rankings, so I got tired of waiting for them. Shakur Rasheed joined the rankings this week, as more than half of the rankings listed him. WrestleStats, which is computer generated and factors in a lot of last year's results in their rankings, continues to disproportionally affect the rankings. If their rankings were removed from the average, it would be Nico - 4th, Conaway - 10th, Gulibon - 8th, Zain - 2nd, Nolf - 3rd, Rasheed - 16th, Cutch - 13th, McIntosh - 1st, Team - 2nd. Perhaps not huge differences, but in time they'll likely be closer to the other rankings. The Dual Impact Index is likely (no promises) to make it's 1st appearance next week.

Not that it really matters at this point, but I don't know that I can make the argument for OK State being above PSU (FLO ranking). Look at the head to head matches and tell me what sort of team score you come up with. My napkin math has PSU coming out about 5 points in the black.

CP's team rankings are his individual ranking placed into a NCAA scoring rubric. On Flo radio today he mentioned that he sees PSU as the favorite to win it all

In the notes section of the Flo Team Rankings, CP/Vais wrote this:

"It's a one point gap between Oklahoma State and Penn State. Klimara bumping up two spots from 7 to 5 with Moisey and Youtsey falling ultimately is the difference. These two teams are simply that close. Iowa isn't too far behind either then there's a pretty noticeable drop-off. A team like Ohio State may be the biggest threat to climb into the top 3 with Hunter Stieber yet to return and Micah Jordan looking like a hammer, yet those two are currently scoring a combined .5 points in these rankings."

As 1stplacehawk mentioned, the Flo Team rankings are simply the individual rankings placed into a scoring rubric. If Nevills had not gotten injured, and wrestled as expected, PSU would be ahead in the Flo Team rankings. As CP's comments above indicate, there is almost no difference between PSU and OK St. in the rankings.

Fully updated, and Average added. It does not appear that Associated Wrestling Press will be posting rankings this week.
