What are you binge watching?

Watching American Rust, kind of like Mare of Easton, but It’s in SW Pa. Also just finished this seasons Billions. Also watched The Many Saints of Newark. I thought Gandolfini Jr. did a great job mimicking some of his Dad’s idiosyncrasies.

I have HBOMax but not the version without ads. Is there anyway to watch the Many Saints of Newark? Also I want to see the new Bond movie. Do I need to go to theaters to see it or is it streaming on anything? Thanks

The Comey thing on Netflix is pretty good. I think I saw it on Showtime but am watching it again.

this week I watched all four seasons of Halt and Catch Fire. that's the best series I've ever watched. I have no idea how this didn't get more attention when it aired. It will be regarded as one of the best shows ever made
I watched a season or 2 and liked it, where did you find it? Netflix? Amazon? tia

Squid Games was good. Got a little slow towards the end of the season. Then had a cliffhanger and unfinished plot line which would seem great if there was actually a season 2 in the works (which at this point there isn't)

Just finished watching seasons 1-7 of Endeavour, a prequel to the Inspector Morse series. Rather good for those that like British mysteries.

just finished episode 6 of 9, I really like it, kind of like Battle Royale mixed with The Long Walk and a little black mirror mixed in
I watched it but to be honest I thought it was exceedingly violent and depressing.

I started watching that but I don't know if I'll finish. It moves pretty slow.

You mean from S1? I was a bit skeptical too but give it a few episodes; best 'chess game' drama since Game of Thrones IMO (and a lot funnier). Might not be your thing though.

My wife and finished up the Soprano's last month on HBO go. Now staying in place, we just finished Ozarks on Netflix, which I highly recommend, and prior to that, Hunters on Amazon (another good one).

We tried one of those Game of Thrones / Vikings rip offs..... that didn't work, then there was this show set in England about some somewhat attractive gal and her misadventures. That didn't work either. So much so, I don't even know the name. It was on Amazon.

We have at least 8 more days..........
Charlie Chan and The Thin Man

Try Unforgotten (PBS from Britain). It's fiction. They solve older crimes and the forensic clues are interesting each episode.

I like those dark, Italian types. Especially with a tight, compact body. Hey, I married one and have zero regrets!

Married a blonde Sicilian myself. If you want to see a great show, see Zen. I don't think I've ever recommended a 1 season, 3 shows series. Caterina Murino. You'll thank me later.

Anyone out there watching Squid Game? I keep hearing a bunch of chatter on this show but I've not yet jumped in.
I thought it was good, not great. I thought it peaked about 5-6 episodes in where the game played is (minor spoilers: marbles). It slowed down a bit towards the end and the last episode wasn't great. Also the voice acting for a few of the characters that don't appear until the last few episodes (minor spoiler: American VIPs) was so horrible it was distracting from the show.

Episode 1 of season 3 of Succession was like being shot out of a cannon. Probably the best show on TV.

It took me 3 episodes into season 1 to get hooked. But once you're hooked, it's incredible.

I've been gong back and watching Burn Notice, without Ads its pretty good for something light while on a exercise machine. Plus Gaberielle Anwar is a good way to wake up

The years have not been kind to her.

I like to watch something funny before bed so I've gone through 'Curb your enthusiasm' and have moved on to something a bit different: 'Taskmaster"

It's a British show with comedian Greg Davies (got a few specials on Netflix and shows up on Graham Norton show time to time) as the "Taskmaster" though the real driver of the show is Alex Horne who created the show. Each series (season) pits 5 comedians (though some are tv presenters) against each other in crazy tasks. Greg watches the chaos and assigns them points.

All the seasons are on YouTube. You can watch some best of cuts there to get a feel for the show. Some seasons are better than others but I find the show hilarious.

If you liked Squid Games (or were at least intrigued by it), there's a Japanese series on Netflix called Alice in Borderland that so far is a similar idea, but based in urban settings.

Out of the blue, I started watching Friday Night Lights again…hadn’t seen it since it was originally on NBC back in the day. I’ve rewatched about half of season 1 and…just…terrific storytelling. Don’t think I’m going to watch the whole series this time around, but I can’t not finish the first season now.

I never watched it the first time around. I just finished season one and started season two last night. The writing and cast are great.

I can't binge watch it because it is new and comes out once a week but Dopesick on Hulu has been good thus far. Based on a true story but amazing how drug companies can manipulate the system at the expense of the people.

As I recall, it gets a little sappy in the middle seasons (teen drama), but finishes almost as strongly as it started. Enjoy!

Bryan Cox says two more seasons of Succession likely, 'then that will be it.'

HBO Max's excellent surreal/cosmic horror superhero drama Doom Patrol renewed for S4.
