Has Carson certified? I have not heard that he did.

Per track he has not certified. Can his certification be at the scales tonight or does it have to be done prior?
Weigh-in for a competition can't be part of the certification process. The certification weigh-in is followed by some computer entries and the like, and is not feasible at a competition.Per track he has not certified. Can his certification be at the scales tonight or does it have to be done prior?
Yikes indeed. Would seem pretty cruel to introduce him to B1G wrestling with that gauntlet....To bad, since if he certifies next week his first 4 matches will be brutal. Lizak, Suriano, NATO, and Lee. Yikes.
I would like to see Kuhn in both but I don't think he is certified and ready to go for this weekend.
I hope he is at 100% for tOSU and can at least slow down or maybe even steal a win over NATO. Anything less than 5 points with NATO I will count as a win.
According to track, Kuhn has yet to be certified. (edit: sorry, missed your post, pish).
(Also, Downey still not on Iowa's weight management roster.
My guess is Kuhn skips Minnesota/Rutgers and will start against tOSU, Iowa, and Buffalo. I would say maybe the Edinboro Open, but that's the same day as Ohio St. dual. Duhawk?
Can't be per rule, or not feasible? If rule, Ok. If feasible, I get that too. The official is basically an official. If not by rule, he might (not saying can, Roar) do the weight and hydration tonight and wrestle on Sunday. I probably wouldn't send him out tonight anyway....but if he could go Sunday that would be a good idea. Still....wrestle offs, etc.Weigh-in for a competition can't be part of the certification process. I'd say less than 6 against Nato is a win.
He will be planning on pinning.....regardless of what his record shows. They want bonus and 125 seems a place to go get it. NATO will be going hard for it. I promise.NATO actually hasn't proven to be much of a pinner in his collegiate career. According to Wrestlestat, out of his 105 victories and 60% bonus rate only 11 have been by FALL. Last year he was 24-1 and his only pin was against a decent wrestler (Mitch McKee). He's been more prone to teching outmatched opponents.
It appears that Kuhn is now certified. Likely he wrestles against Maryland. Especially with the others "sick as dogs".
The only way possible for the process to go quickly, is if the wrestler is at or below his weight class (125 in this case), immediately after determining hydrated state, at the certification weigh-in. If Carson weighed 125.2, for example, fully hydrated, he'd still have a descent plan and couldn't wrestle officially for 1 week. Can't be per rule, or not feasible? If rule, Ok. And just a note about Schnupp. I see Pearsall all over again. Schnupp has a clear plan, wishes to attack and can't finish.....so can't win. He really isn't that far from winning, but a little muscle would help. It's been a tough adjustment for him in that regard. Kuhn has legally transferred and busted ass to get here. If he can best Schnupp.....there is zero reason for him not to wear the banded blue singlet for us.
