What was the "Best" Penn State game you ever saw "in person"?

Fiesta Bowl win against Miami for the National Championship
It's interesting how many big games we have had with Miami over the years; some good and some with bad outcomes! I was at the season opening game I think in 2001 when Adam Taliaferro ran out onto the field in the pre-game ceremony. It all went downhill after the kick-off, but I am still glad I was there!, as it was Zack Mills intro to the Nittany Nation and I believe the inaugural game for the newly expanded Beaver Stadium.

87 Fiesta Bowl - re-watched it back at the hotel with I don't know how many other fans - that was - we were -
had to put up with a row of dweebs behind me - Gifto made them disappear into the Arizona night it was sweet

This was a great game, but certainly not THE game, unless your answer was directly to my question of what was the Best game you ever attended! BTW, isn't it interesting how many times we had to come from behind to beat Northwestern since we entered the B1G? If you think about it, Mike McGloin had his BEST games against Northwestern in come from behind victories.

Joe's 324th win in the comeback vs. OSU was also another fun one. Frigging cold in the upper deck that day though!

A very satisfying win was the 1983 Notre Dame game at The Beav. Here is a recap
Both teams were having relatively disappointing seasons and were unranked. The defending National Champion Nittany Lions appeared to be turning things around after losing their first three games of the season and rallying to beat #3 Alabama and #5 West Virginia. Penn State rallied on a last minute touchdown drive to down the Irish 34-30 in Happy Valley.
If I recall correctly, there were about 5 lead changes. Wait... 6 lead changes per the linked NYTimes article.

Nebraska '82, Michigan 4 OT game 2013, Ohio State win 2005 with Tamba Hali sack, 2001 Zack Mills comeback win vs. Ohio State 29-27, last year's Pinstripe Bowl, wins vs. Doug Flutie in the 80's.

Unfortunately, I missed the 2 national championship games we won, but did get to go down to Miami to see us beat the Hurricanes on that last minute Kevin Thompson to Chaffee Fields TD pass for the win. My best game at Beaver Stadium was is hard to choose from. My best Bowl Game was maybe the FSU win at the Orange Bowl I think in 08, or our win over Oregon at the Rose Bowl in 95.The tailgating at Miami outside the Orange Bowl game was phenomenal as it was our "comeback" bowl from a few drought years.
Penn State vs. Maryland in 1973. Maryland's QB kept getting up after every hit and played a tremendous game as did Fred Dryer at DE. PSU and Maryland really slugged it out.

Also the Outback Bowl (if it was called that then) where Auburn and PSU played in a deluge and PSU won big; loads of fun at that game...

1982 Nebraska game is at the top of my list
2005 Ohio State game is just slightly behind
1981 Pitt... 48-14 game was the most satisfying football experience ever!
1969 Orange Bowl win over Kansas (15-14)
1967 NC State game with the famous goal line stand

Other great games... 1994 Michigan, 2013 Michigan, 1985 Maryland game (they were preseason-ranked #1 in some of the polls, and it was 100+ degrees!)

Boy have I been fortunate to see all of these games!!!!
