Which Showdown Do You Most look forward to?

Among showdowns involving PSU wrestlers at the NCAAs, which do you most look forward to?

(They might not meet, but it'd still be a showdown to see who finishes higher.)

Easily Nickal vs Dean.

GMan vs Suriano- saw it before, and it wasn't very exciting.
IMar vs Joseph- Imar is a very conservative wrestler and wins almost all close ones.
Snyder vs Nevills- probably will be a Major.
Heil vs Gulibon- doubt they face, but really, Heil , like IMAR is terrific , but wrestles very conservatively and wins them all by 1 -3 points.

Nickal vs Dean has very different styles, and like Myle Martin match last year, could/should have fireworks.

I agree. This match up reminds me (and others) of Q vs Kilgore. If I remember correctly, Q scored twice with a shot from the underhook that Kilgore was not good at countering. Differing styles and lack of great familiarity can give nice surprises like that. The time DT almost beat JB by scoring once or twice with a defensive move that JB could not stop was a cool surprise, too.

I have no idea if Zain was under the weather or not.
With that said, if Zain had been on death's doorstep do you really believe Zain would say anything different than he was OK and Sorensen wrestled a great match.

I chose Hall/Valencia over Nickal/Dean because Hall and Valencia each still have the potential to be 4 timers, just as Nolf/IMar had last year. In other words, any Hall/Valencia meeting in the NCAAs might end up being the only blemish on the other's entire career in the NCAAs.

Looking forward to all of Hall's & Bo's matchups because I think those weights are pretty darn deep.
Bo can easily draw a Dechow, PD3, Greer type of draw in second round or quarter which he should win, but would still be intriguing.


Hall can draw a lot of tough 174s. There's about 15 tough kids at 174....
Mark Hall vs Taylor Lujan second round or quarters would be action packed.
A Hall/Realbuto semi or quarters would be insanely fun.


I'm also looking forwards to watching Nolf carve up 157. Solid chance he could bonus the entire tourney.

Not derailing the thread, just thinking about the question, and for me, it's not the anticipation of a certain match or matches. It's the dozens of unexpected moments that happen during NCAA's. Absolutely love both tournaments...

EDIT: Counting MFF, InjDef, there are 900 Matches wrestled in the post-season!! 260 at B1G's (and more if they wrestle weight classes out to 9th or 10th place), and 640 at NCAA's
