The narrative I've been told over and over is that Tesla only sells very expensive vehicles to wealthy people. GM sells affordable gasoline powered vehicles to the masses. Then I saw this:
Tesla’s implied average selling price, worldwide, fell by almost $10,000 per vehicle over the past year, to around $46,000. In contrast, GM’s average price in its main US market increased by almost $2,000 to about $52,000, reflecting a preponderance of high-price, higher-margin trucks.
