Why did we pay 1 of Sandusky's 70's Vics out of our legal expenses in FY 2007/08?

that is really interesting, is the guy a lawyer?? Most of the others paid, just by their names are lawyers. (that LLP thing give it away sometimes)

Word is that he is very litigious. He probably slipped and fell w/ a Peachy Paterno cone in his hand at some point.

I saw he sued the bus company over some disability payment , sued the union as well?

RT was one of the accusers from the seventies who got a settlement as documented by Sara Ganim and CNN and corroborated by Bernie McCue.

His question centers on 2007-2008. Tice was paid $5,000+ that year.

No LLP, Esq, Inc, or anything. Just there with no suffix, and had to be sometime before November 2008 when the Aaron Fisher Investigation was opened.

Were we paying him off for something? Had he sued us in the past and we were somehow sending him annuity payments or something??? What in the world would we be paying this nut over $5,000 for. Has this ever been brought up by Ray or Jimmy? I don't think Zig even knew about it.

Really weird that we are paying a private citizen out of our legal expenses in 2007/08 that later on claims to be a bogus Sandusky Victim from the 70s.

JZ knew about it.

Odd accounting classification. Typically, fees paid to lawyers are kept separate from amounts paid to claimants.

Not according to him. He doesn't know what it was for either. Just knows RT has sued other parties in the past. Has no idea what this specific payment is for. He's as curious about it as us.
Yes - I should have clarified. He knew about the payment (what he told me) but had no idea where it came from.

Actually, he didn't know about THIS payment or what it was for. Just that RT had sued other parties. As far as I know, THIS payment is new to ALL of us unless you can link me to something to the contrary. Not arguing with you. But I would be very interested if you have a link.

This just seems really suspicious unless I am missing something that has been brought up before.

Just in a personal conversation. Said he knew about it, but not what it was about. Suggested that he was litigious of course. I credited you, and he asked who you were. Told him I don't get into identities unless they involve room air conditioners!

It was actually dug up by someone going by the name of veblen who has a blog called "Left of Centre". I don't think that particular blog is still active.

Perhaps ... Rad Technology being on that list --- they're not lawyers either. Medical device company (radiation vaults).

John Hancock isn't a lawyer either. His $400K was a direct payment from PSU to settle a lawsuit after he was fired. See below:

Who would have authorized that payment back then? Gary Schultz possibly?

He'd be the likely candidate since he was in charge of that functional area. Odd place to bury it; has an accountant's finger prints all over it. Could be something or next to nothing.
