A few thoughts on James Franklin.
1) Many like to stir the pot because they want to hurt recruiting, have another agenda,or like to see this board beat it’s head against the wall overreacting to everything.
2) Speaking of overreacting, every time something doesn’t work out the way we wish, someone needs to be blamed. Yes, some mistakes are made but it’s not like other coaching staffs don’t make mistakes. Some on this board just dwell on our mistakes for days, weeks and years. Look at the criticism of Joe, one of the best coaches of all time.
3) The experts here would probably “lose the team” somewhere in training camp. Second guessing is easy to do, especially when the critics record is never under scrutiny.
4) How long did it take Alabama Nick to win a National Championship? Sure as he’ll didn’t do it at MSU. There is a learning curve. Is Andy Reid a bad coach? May not always have worked out for him but he’s pretty good. What about Tomlin? He’s been criticized plenty. You have to look at the Entire Body of Work.
5) I will take Franklin, what he has accomplished so far is impressive. We are like spoiled brats. It takes awhile to build a program. We had success a little to quickly so people are freaking out we don’t have the same success every year. We are in the toughest division in college football even if the talking heads refuse to acknowledge it.
6) It will take more than a 9-3 or 8-4 season to get me off the bandwagon. Sheet, get a grip.
Zips up firesuit,.......INCOMING!! Rant over.
