That’s common knowledge. I just thought Penn St had f** all the time which should lead to more smiles.
If you want I can take you as a guest to the post tourny banquet, or the post season banquet. Lots of smiling going on at those. Pictures wearing their gold medals, arms around fans -smiles galore.

that's a generous offer as tickets run dry quickly!

He deserves to see victors smile, don't you think? I mean holy heck last year the Hawks won the team championship, yet it was the Nits smiling all night long.
What do you mean?

We all remember the boundless positivity and radiant joy Spencer expressed in that post championship interview.

These are some great photos. I love the one of Nick accepting his forfeit in the Finals and also the one of Tervel Dlagnev accepting his bronze medal from the 2012 Olympics (nearly 10 years later :() after justice finally caught up with those who were later found to be doping. Here is a quote from the attached article by USA Wrestling: This change was necessary after Artur Taymazov of Uzbekistan, who initially received the gold medal in 2012, was stripped of his title due to a positive doping re-test. Another medalist, the silver medalist in 2012 Davit Modmanishvili of Georgia, was also stripped of a medal at this weight class because of a positive doping re-test. Tervel Dlagnev bronze medal awarded It is a shame Tervel wasn't able to stand on the podium in 2012 and receive the proper appreciation for his wrestling, but it is great that the technology eventually catches up to those athletes who cheat by doping.

Knowing in advance that making a hypocrisy argument on a wrestling board is a dumb mistake on my part, I'm nevertheless compelled to note my unfamiliarity with this variant of Christianity.
As someone who takes his Christian faith seriously, I just have to shake my head at what passes for acceptable behavior among self-professing Christians these days :( Unfortunately, I see way too much of this "variant". It is an expression of what I refer to to as modern Westernized "Christianity". Some might say variant, but I would say counterfeit. I will refrain from passing condemnatory judgment on the individual under discussion because I can't see into his heart and it is not my position to do that, but I do pass judgment on similar behavior among those who like to lounge under the banner of Christianity when it is convenient and beneficial for them. And off my soapbox I jump! My apologies to anyone who might be offended at my comments, but I felt compelled to weigh in on this. On a much better note, tikk10, I really appreciate all you bring to this Board. I always enjoy your posts, insights and photos. Individuals like you are what make this Board great.
