Well when there is no way to discipline other than a “time out” and now one can be at fualt for their own actions in todays society this is what we get.

I was maybe 25 and ask to coach a local LL team. I was concerned about time availability and all other kind of things, but my buddy really wanted to do this so I agreed. It turns out this team had a couple really good 6th grade athletes on it and the team kept getting better and better. The better the team became the more obnoxious my parents became. I finally had a conversation with parents only. My message was "enough". If any more BS were to come from my parents section I would begin to forfeit games. I got some push back, but I stood my ground and pulled my team off of the field once. The offending parent had to leave or we were forfeiting. Never had another problem.I used to think it was just the message board(s) that were bad but Im starting to lose my attention/patience for fans in general.
This youth football season and even the HS school season in MD is one for the records books for me.
A rival school had their Coach punch out the opposing schools AD in the middle of an on field brew haha. https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/...urity-measures-at-games-after-brawls/3164990/
Our HS team beat the northwestern team in an epic HS game earlier in the year. EPIC. One of the best HS games i ever watched. But on the field there were 5 unsportsmanlike penalties.
But.......... the fans, the parents, at our youth football games are just unfreaking real this year. Our club removed one dad from any sporting events, so he pulled his son (who is good but not THAT good). He went to another club to play. We play that club and he is not allowed on the sidelines serving a 2 game suspension for something he did at that new club. He was nice to talk to during practices these past season, but something got into him saturday afternoons and his demeanor just changed........
Then this weekend we had parents in the middle of our game telling our coaches they were going to punch them because we werent running a defense this parent thought would be better. Its much more detailed and awful than that, but I will spare you guys.
My daughters soccer, has 11U girls yelling the F word at each other and a mother from the other team yelling at our girls for making fun of the curse words her daughter was using. Then our mothers are going at this mom.
Its just wild.
I do the chains for our youth football game and so I talk to the officials and they claim the same thing. its the worst they ever seen. We are half way through the season and they want to be done and say they wont do it next season.
I coach baseball and we dont seem to have this type of stuff as bad. this stuff with soccer is new to me, and maybe shocking only because it little girls.
Football is nuts. So bringing this back around. Message boards can have the worst of the worst, because there are no rules or penalties for boorish behavior. But the same is happening out on the field now it seems.
Always been trash talk, and bad behavior by parents, but man it seems its getting worse, with no end in sight.
When I was coaching I made a point at the beginning of every season to have a parent's day and spend some time talking to the parents about what we did and what they could expect, and what we expected from them... that helped set the tone for us...I was maybe 25 and ask to coach a local LL team. Youth sports are a lot of fun. Youth sports parents are a pain in the ass.

Will be interesting to see if Cael is involved in the actual video footage. I could see this more about those guys mentioned in the tweet and the FS season that just happened.
I guess he had a plan.
Some might say it's been plagued by imbalance.Yeah, Cael is ok, but our team simply just isn’t balanced.🤦♂️

that is a lot of separate instances...with only you in common 🤔🤔🤔🤔I used to think it was just the message board(s) that were bad but Im starting to lose my attention/patience for fans in general.

Well the baseball player is 6'6".Micah's an honorary member of the wrestling team. It's bananas that a baseball player towers over him like this.

LOL, Taylor hasn't lost to a Russian since 2015.Interesting comments the head Iranian freestyle coach made regarding Taylor and Yazdani.
It seems that guy isn't buying into the Spencer Lee catch phrase.Interesting comments the head Iranian freestyle coach made regarding Taylor and Yazdani.
It seems like he was talking about Gilman, Zain, Dake, and Snyder w/ that remark. He seems to be praising Casey's coaching quite a bit in the larger quote about Taylor and Yazdani--though the translation is a bit rough.LOL, Taylor hasn't lost to a Russian since 2015.
Even Spencer doesn’t buy into his catch phraseIt seems that guy isn't buying into the Spencer Lee catch phrase.
Bummer.
what was it? been deletedThat doesn't make sense on multiple levels.
idk about you, but i'm always far less disappointed when a recruit chooses an elite academic school. can't argue with that decision at all.
Aaron is such a mentally "there" young man. So impressive. I was particularly impressed with how he answered Pyles' questions about Trent Hidlay. He was so very diplomatic about what everyone can see, never ripped on him at all.Aaron calls the Penn State/NLWC room the "Dagestan of America"Why Aaron Brooks Didn't Wrestle At World Team Trials

So true. Pyles definitely gave him several opportunities to take the bait, but Aaron took the high ground, as he also did when that Iowa fan at CHA talked smack to him. It was interesting to hear him say how the stalling call the official gave him in the Amine match affected him. Staying mentally focused for the entirety of a match can be an issue for even elite wrestlers. I especially loved the story regarding David Carr. That encapsulated for me the kind of young man he is. We are blessed he is a wrestler, and a Penn State wrestler to boot!Aaron is such a mentally "there" young man. So impressive.
