Calling Lemon Pie. Lemon Pie, where are you?Look at that photo, who the hell would want to fight him?
for an illegal move allow the opponent choiceThis is why replay should allow continuation. Should've been 3 (P1 + T2) instead of 1. More importantly, non-continuation creates an incentive for attempts to injure.
It should be handled like a TF (interlocking of top man's hands), from violation occurance violater can not score, if opponent scores points are awarded accordingly plus the violation point.for an illegal move allow the opponent choice
We just need @dunkej01 to put his “real life” on hold for a second and update it. Loser. 😉Shouldn’t the thread title be changed now - it goes to 11
Let's see if we can work around him.We just need @dunkej01 to put his “real life” on hold for a second and update it. Loser. 😉
Carter is a riot. 🤣
It would be a travesty if we don’t get to see him and Arnold just once in folk.Carter is a riot. 🤣
When the Worlds best is IN YOUR ROOM (and getting younger every day) it may take longer than that. It's Blather. He will wrestle again, at least for a 4th.
Olympics, I will stick by my assertion it takes 3 years for our studs to compete with the world's best.
MMA, everyone has a plan until the get punched in the face. I am not sure his skill set translates as well as Bo. Time will tell.

Kudos to Spencer for giving Ramos his due. Definitely gives me a better take on Spencer the wrestler and person.anyone share this over on GIA yet?
I respect Spencer for saying that.anyone share this over on GIA yet?

Agreed. I've posted here a few times about this issue from Spencer's "team" but happy to see Spencer coming out and addressing it. Definitely gives me additional respect for Spencer.Kudos to Spencer for giving Ramos his due. Definitely gives me a better take on Spencer the wrestler and person.
Almost the entirety of non-Iowa fans’ reaction to Spencer wasn’t about Spencer; it was reaction to Iowa fans’ and the crazy things they write and say about Spencer and the Iowa way.Agreed. Although it would have been great to see him wrestle back Saturday, he should get a pass on that and IMO it is all put to bed with this statement.
Max Dean sent that message and did it with grace, humility and respect for the sport. Young wrestlers who wish to become great wrestlers and fine young men will know that PSU supports both goals. We have more than lucky to have such wrestlers over the past "Cael years". Our coaches do it the old fashioned way: they help the young men earn it.Almost the entirety of non-Iowa fans’ reaction to Spencer wasn’t about Spencer; it was reaction to Iowa fans’ and the crazy things they write and say about Spencer and the Iowa way.
My takeaways from the interview:
1) He wrestled under incredible pressure at Iowa. Anything short of a first period finish yielded a “what’s wrong with him” reaction from his fanbase. And he didn’t like it.
2) He hates how his Mom’s reaction to his loss became a story. I hated that too. Leave moms alone. You don’t show the losing mom’s reaction. I’ve never seen that before and hope to never see that again.
3) He mentioned how he might one day regret not wrestling back but doesn’t right now. It may not be my place to say, but I still feel like the message that wrestling back would have shown to young wrestlers everywhere was an opportunity lost for the sport.
1) He knew when he chose Iowa he was gonna be the face of the program for 4 years. Shoulda came too PSU and been just another fish in the pond.Almost the entirety of non-Iowa fans’ reaction to Spencer wasn’t about Spencer; it was reaction to Iowa fans’ and the crazy things they write and say about Spencer and the Iowa way.

Sympathy level -2
2) She knew she was gonna be televised. How she reacted too his loss reminded me of how some asshole dads act before they realize they are the reason their kid gets HEW syndrome.
Sympathy level -3
3) Either he was too hurt too wrestle back or not, which is it?

She's just lucky that Wide World of Sports doesn't run any more...The unique nature in which Mrs. Lee responded to the match was 100% the reason for the publicity. I agree if she was just crying over her son’s loss, that’s kinda just what might be expected and probably not newsworthy.
But I have never seen another human just smash/crush/pulverize their own glasses out of frustration, let alone at an event where they know they will be under a spotlight (figuratively at least). That is absolutely why it was noteworthy (and memeworthy). It’s regrettable that she responded that way which magnified the amplitude of Spencer’s loss, but it happened and it’s why we are still talking about it almost a month later.
