That was exactly the point.Huh? Not sure I follow. No need to wrestle back when you won, NCAAs as a senior in college, and Prep Nationals as a senior in HS. I'm sure I am missing something here.

Ah, to subtle for an old goat like me to get. That was exactly the point.
Should be declared a national holiday.
Can do without the swoosh, but yeah, why not?!?

B I N G O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Not so good as we probably wouldn't have won that tournament. Ed would have scored 5 total points vs the 18.5 he had by wrestling back. We won over Cornell by 14 points and Ed beat Cornell's Mack Lewnes for third, so it's very likely we would have lost to Cornell.
Grant me poetic license here re: the date: here’s Iowa’s Governor upon hearing the Cael news:Should be declared a national holiday.
My three are the same but have a different order. Kids are always #1, but my wife understands what Cael means to me. To be honest, she probably has the same exact list and order.Marriage, Birth of Two Kids, Cael to PSU in that order for best day in my life.
That was a great video! It is so interesting to me that the day before Cael had to give his answer to Penn State if he was going to take the position or not, Cael, his father, Cody and Casey had all felt Cael should stay at ISU. That night, though, Cael spent time praying to God about the decision. Per the video: "I spent the night on my knees in prayer, and sometime in the middle of the night decided that we were going to Penn State. That was it. As difficult as it would be, I didn't question that it was the correct decision again. Early in the morning I told Coach Cody and Coach Casey that we were going to Penn State. They said, 'Ok, let's do it.' I called Tim Curley and told him we were coming."
"It was God who ultimately recommended Penn State." LOL???
What? That line can't be funny? If you know anything about Cael and this program, both are faith based.
How could God not be a fan of PSU wrestling?
Here's to hoping he whispers into a few of Nagao's prayers this week.
It reminded me of the Aaron Nagao Basch interview. I'll take it as a positive sign. That was a great video!
Looks fair use of a graphic sans trademark that's in the public domain for parody purposes.
Seems likely Basch is feigning upset to generate more clicks and publicity, which equates to $ in the social media world.
This is why I like you! You're conflating copyright concepts with trademark law
Hope so. Like both of them.Looks fair use of a graphic sans trademark that's in the public domain for parody purposes.

I don't see how a reasonable person would be confused.Hope so. Like both of them.
It is a National Holiday in my opinion.
Probably a good idea. I think we put it up for a vote at next board meeting. I actually think that from this day forward, April 17th should be recognized as Caeliday... lolIt is a National Holiday in my opinion.
It wasn't immediately clear to me and I'm familiar with both parties. Maybe if it was funnier, I dunno. But the relevant question isn't whether people familiar with them both were confused, it'd be whether wrestling fans generally were likely to be confused--anyone who Basch might target as a potential downloader of his podcast, for instance.I don't see how a reasonable person would be confused.
I'd hazard to say a niche wrestling world knows Jagger's M.O. and knows Basch's podcast logo. This niche defines those who are likely to have seen the Tweet from Jagger (since Basch replied to it). Maybe a few more since you posted it here.
But the bottom line for me is that clicking on the Tweet pic doesn't start a podcast. That makes it pretty clear to me it's a parody.
yupThis is precisely the kind of attention Jagger was going for when he made the graphic, methhinks. From his perspective, Basch's best response would have been to ignore, I suspect. These guys love creating beefs.
Hmm, did Spencer have to give anything back after getting pinned in the semi's?regardless of what RBY did end up getting paid to come back....Does he have to give a partial refund since he got thrashed in the Finals and made Vito an Instant Hero ?? asking for a friend.....
Or do you get credit for bringing it here? Can a post made on the another board be considered for “post of the year” on this board? I humbly submit the following for consideration:

Real gem at 14:40 -- "I did EVERYTHING the coaches say. If Coach Casey said 'You can only fart 4 times in one day,' if I had to fart a 5th time, I would hold my butt cheeks and I wouldn't do it."

I found it a little odd that a long official press release issued by HWC announcing the signings of SLee and Warner contained zero quotes from SLee or Warner. (Maybe if it wasn’t full of quotes from Brands and Beatty it wouldn’t have seemed quite as odd.).Spencer Lee Signs Five Year Contract With Hawkeye Wrestling Club - FloWrestling
Spencer Lee will remain in Iowa City at least through the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.www.flowrestling.org
Thanks. You're 100% for wrestling. I was too lazy to look up Michigan and Iowa BJC recaps for actual attendance. Basically I went by faulty memory and rounded it to 500.@98lberEating2Lunches
BJC seats a few short of 16,000 for wrestling. Not sure where you got 14,500 and didn’t want to post on GIA.
