Wisconsin shouldn't be penalized...

So let’s forget the championship game. Which means they also have to stop saying how well Wisconsin played that first half yesterday. If we can’t penalize them, we can’t reward them either.
Apparently only a WI first half and a UM second half matter. The "excellent" WI performance yesterday still yielded a higher loss margin than PSU...

for playing and losing the championship game. UW should be punished because they lost three games, and especially for losing to a terribly mediocre Illinois squad. Klatt the idiot and Herbie the douche do not mention that fact when comparing schedules. No way PSU ever loses to Illinois. PSU was penalized in 2016 for losing early to a pedestrian Pitt squad, but that Pitt squad was lightyears better than any Illinois team from the past ten years.
If Wisconsin was going to be punished for losing to the Illini, it would have happened before the rankings last week. Once that didn't happen and then ended up ranked ahead of us, there was no way (win or lose) that they would fall below us. I totally disagree with the ranking before last weekend but what they did after the conference championship games makes sense based on where they had the teams slotted.

Wut?! Wisconsin was ranked eighth before the Big Ten CCG, got rolled, and did not drop even one spot. That is messed up, period.

When an outcome is predetermined the individual events and criteria are manipulated to achieve that desired result. Once again, PSU ends up on the short side of the whole deal. Now there is a lose - lose situation in the Cotton bowl while Wisconsin, from the less challenging west division of the big 10 goes to Pasadena for a win - win opportunity. Until the playoff pool expands and a committee with its subjective attitudes is removed there will be no equity. Eye test, Alavarez, unknown persons with axes to grind on PSU for the 2011 debacle and private issues need to be eliminated from this process.

So by the logic applied here, my Buffalo Bills are actually tied for the division with the Patriots because they had close losses to both the Pats and the Ravens. Yeah, baby.....oh wait, it’s the NFL and actual wins and losses count towards playoff berths. Crap, the only opinions in the NFL are by pundits postulating on who may win week to week.
:rolleyes:o_O (Heavy sarcasm font used)

How big was that chicken-$hit offensive pass interference call at the end of the Minnesota game now? That call isn't made, PSU beat Minny that day.

Or the second interception where KJ was being absolutely mugged. Instead of PSU having a first down in the red zone, Minny took the ball the other way for 7.
